Nope. NP... You can mix on the armors... Adding 1 then adding another makes a blending right on the armor or weapon. Sometimes even the order gives different mixes.. But you do not have to premix the dyes to apply it...

When you put dye on armor, it does not mix with the stuff already on the armor. You can only mix in your inventory. Hope that helps
Sorry this posted right after yours...I've never seen dye mix on armor?? Everytim I apply another color , the armor come out the color that I applied...not a mixture.
Also as far as I know...then only time that the color of the armor makes a difference is with the original color of the armor that you are using. For example,a lot of colors do not look the same across armors of a different profession. I was always lead to believe this is because of the base color of the armor for that profession.

Okies, I think I got that
But, when you use a dye remover inside your inventory (just mixing them) it kinda lessens the effect of the dye... but using it directly on the armor will just get rid of it on there? (I hate being a newb )

When you use a dye remover on your armor it just takes the armor back to its original color.

No, if you mix dye remover into another dye it becomes the dye that your armor originally was so if you had red armor and you poured dye remover into yellow you would get a orange effect when applied to that armor. Some people see it as making the dye "translucent".
Now if you just use it on its own it will remove whatever color dye you had on the armor before because it basiclly acts like the original dye so instead of just removing the dye you are basicly re-dying it to whatever color it was before.

These are my characters. I make all my armors unique and different.
My necro first. Her 15K bonelace is dyed two different colors. The gloves and leggings are Yellow + Yellow + Yellow + Silver, and her Chest and Boots are Blue + Blue + Green
Now, my monk. He may look like a citrus fruit, but he is a fruit that heals like there is no tomorrow! This combo is on FoW Astetics, so its reverse. Its Red + Orange + Purple I believe.
This is my Warrior, Prince Xavier. His 15K glads is dyed uniformly in a Green+Silver+Silver+Silver combo.
Last, but certainly not least, is my Ranger, aka, Rahja the Thief! His FoW armor is dyed using a Blue + Green combination. I like this one a lot. (BTW< the storm is dyed with Silver to make it icy like that)

If they changed something I stand corrected... But when I did a silver yellow silver ON Armor it made a nice metallic gold looking color.
I have also done silver Blue Silver for some interesting looking mixes.. ON armor... So I did not have to mix the dyes first before applying. Yes you can of course. but it was never necessary in the past. If it is now. well.. sorry... I'll stand corrected. But I never had to do that in the past.
