If you are like me and have never broken yourself of click-activation, then you might find this more efficient. Since I monk sometimes as well and have to target party members I thought moving everything closer together would help a bit.
If I ever decide to monk in PvP, I know I'll have to break myself of this habit, but it works for now.

Made especially for my attention span purposes - everything at the bottom half so I can concentrate on the action, easily ping target, skills, anything on me (good or bad)... and my chat up there so I can follow it or just disregard it totally. I've been using this for 'bout 2 years now, working good for me.

I try to stay as minimal as possible. I use the keyboard to activate my skills, so I really don't need the skill bar at all actually. Seeing a cluttered interface is tantamount to a root canal.
