i been reading around other forums and one good possibility is that my card might not support directx9 stuff or something like that for texmod.
then again i don't even know how to check that

it all has to do with locating the specific points on your character model, most people use different colored dots all over the flattened model then load it up and take notes on what shows up where so then you know where each corresponding dot ends up on a character, then it's as simple as taking a single to triple colored tat or such and isolating the color and pasting it on the image, the hard part is compensating for the stretching of the skin.

Here's something I've been working on today, I wanted my ranger to look somewhat stronger. More like an archer with better armor, and archers in medieval times used chainmail as well:
I like the outcome so far, I still need to work a bit on it since its far from finished. (I still need to fix that leather thing between the upper legs, but maybe I remove the thing completely, don't know yet)
What do you think??

Impressive. Very impressive. You can see effort has been put into it. I think medieval would have less of a tan-yellowish colour, but other than that I like it. Good work :}

is it possible to use texmod to repair certain armor bugs? for example, my female ranger's ancients armor splits into 8 pieces when zoomed out. is it possible to tinker with the textures to make that disappear?

anyone know if its possible to make textures in-game reflective? i know there is a reflective texture for certain armors, but i was wondering if u can add that reflective texture to other armors that originally aren't reflective.

you can make it hyper reflective by editing the image in a program that does not support alpha like paint :P but that just makes the whole texture look like chrome lol
oooor you could forcefully extract the alpha on the texture which would be a pain in the ass to find
oooooor you could screw around with the alpha channel in photoshop.

The Mad King may be gone, but his impact can still be seen in the lands of Tyria...
I'm eagerly awaiting xxod's Halloween-based mod, because the best I could do right now is replace the sun with the smiley moon from Lion's Arch or the red moon from the Tombs.

This looks awesome mate, very good! looks very pre searing.
I'm curious if its possible to do a similar kind of thing to make the Elite Sunspear set look more like the Primeval remnant set worn by Goren, also his tatoo looks great how would i get that on my warrior?
^^pictures posted mainly just to show the difference in armor^^
I have very little experience with this kind of thing so any & all advice appreciated!

You won't be able to copy the tattoo. Textmod can only change textures, not shapes.

You could make a tattoo on your face, but it won't be the same as the one in Goren's arm.
