I finally got my dark skinned Ele to get Vabbian. Its been something I've been dreading and delaying, but finally done!

dark skinned eles look gorgeous in pretty much all the ele armors, its why i remade my original ele much darker. (she was the palest one). i saw your ele on obs mode last night and went oooh pretty. im tempted to remake my ele even darker. but ...effort.

My tan skined ele named Genoken Elemental in Kurzick 1.5 top and boots Luxon 15k gloves and legs. Dyed silver tho it tends to look white in the sunlight..contrast well with her tan skin tone

I usually deny having more than 1 pve character because only my monk has had any real time spent on it. I do however have an ele, and I just got this awesome (req 9 energy storage) inscribable weapon.

It even matches her name.

Indeed! I opted for one shade lighter than I would normally have on my 14 month old ele, but mostly because her face didn't really suit the very dark Tyrian tones, she's still looked a lot darker than the huge amount of ghostly looking eles I've come across so much up till Nightfall's release.

Example: Why can't people make dark skinned Paragon's? I have a dark skinned (african paragon) I'm not black...

Is it that people are racist in a way? Or other reasons? I don't get it though...

well my elly is really pale but she my first character and i had no idea what i was thinking i hate the way she looks now and never play her but cant delete her cause she was my first and my necros pale because i dont like dark necros..
i prefer tanned chars like most of my chars not too dark but not light

I doubt it's usually racist, although I'm not denying there are unfortunatley a lot of racists in the world. A lot of people take the opportunity to make a representation of what they wish they could make themselves look like when they make a virtual character, and since GW is sold in countries whose majority populations consist of white or asian people, that probably explains why a lot of the characters running around don't usually have skin different-looking than the your average person of those ethnicities. Another thing to consider is that the characters with the "ghostly" skin colors are probably aiming to make acharacter or a character whose skin literally radiates light, implying they are supernatural - think stereotypical elves, fairies, angels, gods and goddesses in american, european, and asian cultures).

That said for hypotheses on the large amount of characters without dark skin colors, I love all the dark skinned characters I've seen, and I think it looks especially good with so many dye and hair combos

hm, racist? I doubt.....but trying to take good screenies of dark skin is just difficult......I have included a pic of my 4 eles.....the one on the far left is my first character (and yeah I have skin that light in RL).....but that doesnt explain the other 3 darker skinned ones.....(my hopes or dreams maybe?)

when I make a character I try to match up the face/skin type/hair color so that its a good combo, in prophecys there just werent many good combos for darker skined eles (though my hubby made one, so I just proved myself wrong)...and no negrod (I cant spell today) options at all-----that didnt come until factions really, and yes I have made a few dark dark skinned beauties as well.
(now if someone is to blame I would say that you should point fingers more at the dev team with the very limited options that they have offered us---I have included 3 female ele creations screens as well, one from each chapter to show the limited options on the skin tones. Prophecy doesnt really have anything better than a good tan, while factions has one --almost and nightfall 0).
