So you suggest that the Troll name for Troll Unguent would be something like "Trollhelbredespirin"?

But I thought that trolls were relatively natural beings. Not exactly the type to go making medicines.
Still subscribing to the "byproduct" school of thought.

They could be natural beings, but that doesn't really mean that they wouldn't make themselves the troll equivalent of Neosporin if they got injured. You can make medical remedies from things found in the wild, so I'm sure that, seeing as trolls have been around for quite along time (refer to the Lord of the Rings), they have found some natural way to help themselves heal up.

But trolls aren't intelligent in common lore, right?
I don't believe they'd be capable of such a thing.

That doesn't mean they can't follow their natural instincts and try to make themselves feel better if they're hurt. Wouldn't you agree that practically any animal with a brain will try and heal themselves if they're injured. I would be inclined to believe that this would not exclude even the traditionally "challeneged" troll.

Getting into semantics a bit, but very well.
Tradition leads us to believe trolls were absent the day brains were handed out in mythical creature land. Also, trolls were also said to have good regenerative qualities. This combination leads me to believe that it's an involuntary response by troll physiology to create this natural healing salve of theirs.
Might we just agree to disagree on this one?

I hope you don't think that I'm all too serious about my arguement over this; like my Profile says, I like to argue just because I think it's fun Lots of people tell me I should be a lawyer just because of that fact. I'm not too good with actual persuasion though, so obviously that dream would be shot.
