A little boy about 10 yrs old was standing on the porch at the Ironhammer residence. Gazing at the beauty of Ascalon City. Most people were afraid because of the impending thought of when the charr would invade.
The boys name was Link Ironhammer(it's not me ppl). He walked inside his home to have supper. His family was one of the richest in Ascalon, and he enjoyed his life dreaming of leaving this fair city. Later that night, Link awoke with a start to hear ppl screaming, swords clanging and the smell of fire. His sister a very experienced monk said to him "Link we must go come quickly the charr are invading". Next thing Link knew he was following his sister out the back door to the alley. "Where are we going"? Link asked his sister. "Shhh"
They walked down the alley until they came to a sign that said evac route.
"Link follow this road ok"? "I wanna stay with you". "No Link GO!!!!" Before Link left he saw his parents being massacared by charr, he even saw his sister die. After the charr had left Link ran to his sister he touched her hand and felt a weird feeling.He heard a weird voice in his head saying "Link I have given you all my monk powers use them wisely, train with them my brother".
Link found a trainer at the new Ascalon City. He worked on his sisters monk skills and even learned some new ones, he also trained to become a warrior. After 8 years of training, Link was ready to act revenge on the charr for killing his family.

Link was happy to begin his first assignment. He was very excited to be fighting side by side with Emma a necromancer/elementalist, his girlfriend of about 2 and a half years. He was planning on proposing to her after their mission at The Great Northern Wall. As soon as Link arrrived he knew something was wrong, no one was there it was deserted. He ran on top of the wall and found Emma. "What's going on here?" he asked her. " The Charr are preparing for an attack get ready!" "I was born ready!!!!" Link yelled. The Charr charged to the gates leading in to the wall, and began attacking it. "Archers fire arrows!" Emma yelled. The archers began firing down on the Charr, the Charr archers were also firing up at the humans. After only 5 min all of the archers were dead. Emma used Meteor Shower which took out all of the Charr attacking the gate. Link thought it was over, so he turned to Emma got down on one knee and said "Emma will u mar--". Out of nowhere came an arrow and it went right through Emma's back!!! Emma fell right on top of Link, it wasn't over the second wave had begun. Link had just begun to try to ressurect Emma when Prince Rurik himself came to him and said " We must pull back to Fort Ranik, we can take the wall from there." He began pulling Link away from Emma's lifeless body "Noooooooooo I won't leave her." Link screamed at the top of his lungs "I won't leave her!!!!!!!" On the way to Fort Ranik Link kept thinking about his life and how much he had lost. He vowed to kill and hunt the leader of the charr for the rest of his life.
