Skill roleplay descriptions
We all see the effect of the skill, but how about the roleplaying aspect of it? Here I will start some fan topic where people can put their words in. Since many skills in GW are alike (althout in PvP every has unique use) I find this task not of that easy that it looks. Of course all skills are intuitive to "describe" so I do if only for fun
I will start with some examples:
Power shot - The bow user pulls his bow strings more powerfull than usual, thus making the impact a way deeper.
Dual shot - Shooting two arrows can be handed by ranger, but since he does that at the same time he can't put very good hold on them both with one hand, thus they strike a little less acurate.
Distracting shot - The ranger can do one very quick shot targeting non lethal zone but quite painfull or disbalancing stopping foe's action. Since he targets on the spot and hitting different zones depends on the skill the enemy use, the pain the ranger inflict can delay the usage of that skill for some time.
Poing blank shot - Like the powershot, the close shot is more powerfull since the ranger puts an effort in it, but since he shots without much targeting the range is reduced. Using power pulling of the string is more easily recovarable that way (with less targeting effort) so the ranger can shot poing blank shots more fast than than powershots.
Precise shot - The ranger calculates enemy's movement, stances and steps. With this prediction he cannot miss due enemy defensive actions, but any sort of distractions can scatter ranger's focus and he will miss.
Punishing shot - This skill is hard to master and sustain, so the ranger can only hold one such in a mission. This combines the power a heavy shooting with the fast strike of the distracting shot, and it's only drawback is the less pain that remains thus enemy can recover normaly. This skill is quite difficult so the ranger needs more time to prepare another.
Savage shot - This is the more native version of powershot. The ranger shoots at very vital points that are very easy to defend, except you have your hands bussy with spellcasting - that is when this shot will be devastating. Since it is quite a heavy, even when not casting a spell the foe is interrupted from the impact.

While my favorite class is ranger, I've always thought the Mesmer had the most RP potential in its skill line-up.
Empathy
The mesmer causes an enemy to share in the pain of the blows he lands. Every swipe of his sword gives him a gash as well.
Clumsiness
The mesmer is able to play tricks with the enemy's coordination. A too-bold warrior who charges anyway falls flat on face as he tries to swing his sword.
Distortion
"Oh look! You think I'm over here, but oops! I guess not! Can you hit me now? Haha, guess not."
Soothing Images
That poor enemy warrior can't seem to figure out why his head is suddenly filled with pictures of bunnies, flowers, and happy little butterflies. It's somewhat hard to feed off the power of the battle around you when you're thinking relaxing thoughts.
Sympathetic Visage
The mesmer gives his enemy visions of the pain and problems it would cause where the mesmer's team defeated. The enemy can't help but lose some will to fight.
Had I more ambition than I do at the moment, I could probably write up something for each and every one of the Mesmer's skills. ...however I'm gonna save that for if/when I ever decide to write some Guild Wars fan-fiction.

Sprint - Runs faster!
"I Will Survive!" - Gets miraculous health regen from each negative condition, but doesn't actually survive.... So basically shouts a big fat lie to everyone.
Cyclone Axe - User swings axe in a single maniacal, frenzied circle, cackling like a madman whilst doing so.
