By hosting, do you mean you have a website we can upload more than 60MB of data onto? cuz that is a BIG must.

On a side note, I sent an E-mail to RT asking if they had and helpful tips for us, and Im pretty sure this was a joke, but the guy responded with "yes; STEP OFF OUR TERRITORY OMG LAWSUIT". I responded to that with a polite request for a serious response, but so far I have gotten none.

how much of that 5 gig is already being used? Because I have every episode of RvB (61 + extras) and it only takes up like 2 gig on my HD. And if we compressed it in Zip then it would take up even less space. Im glad to have your support sniper!

EDIT: I've completed another episode, but I'm not going to post it. Im worried about others stealing my ideas, and will send the episodes directly to Tur for editing from now on. And those who wish to help, We need a name for this project, someone to do SFX, I haven't heard anything from anyone recently about fiming or editing so we might need that, and possibly someone to help me and Tur with the writing. I hope to be able to make a new topic stating the positions of everyone and what they need to do soon, but I need to know the information before I do. =) If anyone can think of any other positions that I missed please tell me!

I have so much space currently I think I have used 100mb of it and thats because I have been uploading alot of stuff within the last 2 days. As well you are going to be loading RvB episodes onto the server?

If you want this I can make yourselfs a webpage (stright html or php-nuke) host it on my site and maintain it, however the only thing I ask is that you use my forums( a section will be set aside).

Domains can be supplied as a sub-domain.. i can get us; www.name.got-it.org
- we can always go for .tk domain? If the serie gets populair its np to get a sponsor

If you guys need more help (you probably got lotsa applications already), I can. I've got my own project as well, so I can do filming, some editing and ingame stuff. I'm not sure about voice acting, because I'm Dutch, so I might have some accent.

lol, I was not intending to put rvb on the website, but if anyone wants to get some episodes id be glad to share them. what I was trying to point out is that RvB has been out for a few years and their total compilation of data cant be more than 2gig (not including the fact that they release 4-6 versions of each episode, divx wmv & quicktime, low and high rez). Also, I know that the lawsuit thing was a joke, im just showing that we might incounter some resistance from RT. And people with accents, don't worry about it! some characters would most likely end up getting fake accents anyway! there will most likely be some sort of voice audition/trial and I encourage ALL to try out! Haoran, I know you are buisy, so unless you intend to shoulder 2 projects at once, your going to have to choose. I dont want anyone coming into this thing half assed. I expect people to do things when they are asked to do them. Im not trying to be harsh, but if we are to succeed, we cannot falter!
I do not support AOL, in fact I hate the bastards, but they did do one thing right, and that is AIM. I suggest we all get AIM, and for those of you who can't download I suggest you have someone burn you a copy. Using aim we can make our own presonal chatroom of people dedicated to this project to discuss the current goings-on. And those of you who dont like aim, suck it up and take one for the team. Its not like it will give you spyware or anything. If there is a similar product do speak up and provide a link to a site from which it may be downloaded
Daren, your saying we can get a site with a unique name, with tons of free space and bandwidth, at no cost to us? If so then I suggest we have our main site on a unique name, but with a downloadable archive and backup data on guildwarsrealm.net

Basically what Daren is suggesting is that he will host the site and make it a subdomain of his own site

www.name.got-it.org

got-it.org is the name of his site.

a dot tk address is a free "cheap" looking url address for designers who want an actualy domain name but cant afford a real one, however these place ads on your site.

I got your pm and I assure you that anti intrusion software is already crawling my server!

oooh i misunderstood. I guess that since snipers site is allready GW affiliated, im going to have to swap my previous statement; I think that backup data should be stored at Darens site, along with an archive of downloadable episodes. this way he can advertise the series as well. Also, my parental controlls (goddamn you yahoo!!!) block me from darens site.

- the awsome thing about groupcare is that it got a chatroom, discussion board, link sharing / little file sharing too, easy way to mail ALL members and coordinate projects/work.

Also the fact that people might be from different continents, could be a problem because of the difference in the GMT.

The only problem with that groupcare website is the fact that they will not allow you to have the bandwidth that you are going to need looked after.

I suggest we all meet in the chat room later tonight to discuss things, as well I have finished a temporoary template for the site which I will post up here later!
