Firstly, I find the fact that anyone allows someone else to run about, using their thoughts and creation, is completely and udderly absurd, however, there are many that do so, unfortunately. Secondly, these characters were created in a time after the Guild Wars, why put them in a story that takes place centuries before, when they weren't even thought of?

This is why I changed which character I was going to play. Ristaron wasn't born until the 800's, but Noriam was one of the first people to ascend. Ever. I.E. Before the Elonians tried.

However, I may withdraw if it continues that warriors are as rediculously overpowered as the only roleplay post so far has portrayed them. Not intending to be harsh, but when Balthazar can defeat all the other gods so easily it lends the image of warriors completely dominating a battlefield... something that seems quite one-dimensional to me.

Balthazar has a secret source of power that you will uncover later in the story so u find out ok? and this battle took back a long time ago and now its 10,000 years later right after the guild wars. And it doesnt favor warriors but the prolouge did.

Oh, the time we're roleplaying in is 1070ish AE? I can use Ristaron, then.

I still have a question: if it was 10,000 years before the Guild Wars, why are there humans in the battle?
If you read the guild wars manuscripts, you'll see that humans appeared in Tyria in 205 BE. And they weren't anywhere else before then according to the way it's said in the Manuscripts.
And if you read the different inscriptions for the Gods (go to ToA for the best place for it), you'll see that they didn't seem to get followers until around that time. Look at Grenth's for solid support of my point.
Unless everyone in that battle was either a god or an avatar, there's no way it could have happened.

Well, there is a way, but it's complicated. All of them would have had to go through the mists. Since there are places where time moves forward, and places where time moves back (and the rift, where time doesn't move at all), it would be possible for all the armies to have entered and gone back in time to this incredible battle 10,000 years ago.
That would mean that all of the soldiers were from the future of Tyria, as currently (1072 AE) there are very few gates into the mists, and fewer of them are known. All of the ones that are known are fiercely defended.

Excuse me poking holes in your story, I just want to make sure it's a solid story before we start.

All these army guys are the souls of people awakened by the gods to come into the battle. After awhile the souls will develop and become into bodies. So ya. They didnt get followers for awhile but these are just incarnations.
