Guild Wars Inspired
Unfortunately, my many GW fanfics have gone nowhere, and will continue to do just that. Recently I have become engulfed in a new storyline that I created, based somewhat upon Guild Wars. I haven't gotten very far in the actual writing yet, but there is a long list of characters and settings within the confines of my mind, just waiting to burst out. If anyone would be interested, if only slightly, in this, please, let your voice be heard. No flames please, and I appreciate all the feedback in advance.

I'm all for new ideas, Storm, and I definitely know how it feels when not one, but several stories end up in the 'unfinished' bin. So my advice right now is to go for it, keep focused, and pump as much of your inspiration and talent into this new story. It's easy to sidetrack, but just use any new ideas and incorporate them into this story - one story can have many substories (so to speak). You could write down your plot and prepare yourself before hand, but, if you're like me, you could just start it off with no idea where the story is going. (The latter is much more fun and is surprisingly rewarding ). Keep up with the writing, 'cause I can hardly wait to see this new story materialise!

go for it, every bit you writ can be used as a starting point for any piece of writing. For example i was writing a story that used some guildwars lnks to it but it started to go lame so i started on another story, incorporating my characters from guild wars into a world i had written about a while ago, still going on that one but i read the grawl invasion on this site and the general idea gave me a midle to the first story which i then incorporated into the second one.
Just to tell you the post might be a bit of a muddle, been moving house all day and im buggered.

I very sincerely thank you for this encouragement, as I was sinking a bit low in my hopes for one good storyline. I have worked, as Cyn said, "starting off with no idea where the story is going" and it has been rewarding, as I now have bits and peices of storyline floating about my head, waiting to be joined together by one great burst of talent. Unfortunately, my illustraitor is getting a bit behind on me, and only has two of the characters completed (thankfully the most important ones) and needs to get moving on the scenery. For one odd reason or another I find it much easier to accurately describe something by a picture rather than memory. But enough of that, I can only hope that I have some time left over today as to use to write, for my hand is aching for the pencil again.
