Sephis Axe Sexification
I'm not 100% sure if this belongs in this section but it seems like the most appropriate place for it so, here it is!
Just wondering if anyone here plays TES4 - Oblivion? If you do you might know the modding community over on their forums is frenzied with all kinds of mod activity going on, and i just so happen to be one of those frenzied people =P.
This is one of my most recent, a homage to Guild Wars and the SF update which added 2 of my (still) favourite items to the game. Tanzit's Defender and The Razorstone. Cooked up, Modelled and Textured in just under 2 days i'm pretty happy with the results, but i'll let the pics speak for themselves =)
It started out as just the sephis, but then i figured i'd throw a tanzit's together and release em as a package for all the GW fans on their forums. There are quite a few of us about there it seems.
Anyways, just thought you guys might appreciate to see the good ol' Sephis getting some love in other games too! If anyone does have oblivion and is interested in the models, you can grab em here.
Can't say anything else except enjoy the pics, comments and feedback welcome on how i made it look =)

Yeah its all my work, made from the ground up. The only things i used from GW were a couple of ref pics to make sure i got the proportions spot on. The models were pretty simple to make but the textures took the longest at about 4x the modelling time. But for a sephis axe and tanzits its more than worth it.

Now that's actually a cool idea, a fellblade would be great in OB. It's huge, but not OTT huge =)
Oh and on that note of "Make More!", i'm sure some of you guys might appreciate this model i'm cooking up as well =D

They are relatively low actually for what they are actually, i always pride myself with how low i can keep the polycount in my models. Now lets see... where's the file...?
Ah here we go - 524Tris for the sephis, 863Tri on the tanzits.
I'd say a good 90% of the detail in those shots (ie- ALL the detail on the axe head) comes from the normalmap. They're a pain in the ass to make but they look hella sexy ingame. Here's a wire of the sephis that you can compare to the textured one to see just how much of a difference they make. <3 Oblivions game engine =)

Very nice and excellent work. one criticism... the texture on the helmet repeats its self over and over as it moves up the front facial part of the helmet. Maybe try fix that Otherwise excellent work, keep it up.
