Chapter 1: Introductions

Virginia Mind Melter stood there, listening to the whispers of sea in her beautiful green and gold gown. Though she stood waiting by the lighthouse in Lion's Arch, her face clearly showed that she was from Cantha. Her short, autumn-brown hair was pulled into a small curve in the back, and her bangs pulled over her left eye. Quietly, a tall man snuck up behind her. She snapped her head around, just to realize it was the man she had fallen in love with, Jonathan Quickshot.

Jonathan was unlike many other men because he hailed from the Shiverpeak Mountains, where humans are slaughtered by the xenophobic dwarves. He had learned to live even where dwarves feared, the icy caps of the mountains. Most of his time was spent in caves, and he only went out to lay traps and come back at night to take whatever food had been caught for the day. Because of this, his skin was extremely pale, in sharp contrast with his long, black hair, which was pulled into a ponytail. When civil war had finally broken out, and the caves were being used to hide refugees, Jonathan had to leave. He made his way to Lion's Arch, where he met the woman of his dreams, Virginia Mind Melter.

Virginia turned around as Jonathan bent down to kiss her on the forehead. Jonathan whispered into her ear, “Are you ready?” Suddenly, Marcus, Jonathan's pet snowy wolf jumped out and pushed Virginia on his back. As they jumped off the cliff, this mesmer finally knew that she was going to marry this ranger. Jonathan jumped down and landed right behind her while Marcus went to dine on some fish. Virginia and Jonathan surveyed the land, and quickly spotted a pair of fire imps coming towards them. Virginia made sure none of them would get a spell off while Jonathan planted his traps, each fire imp tried to cast a fireball, but instead, it exploded in their faces. Still, they charged forward, ready to destroy the two adventurers. Suddenly, there was nothing but ash on the ground. Jonathan's traps had incinerated them. Virginia turned around and their lips locked, and for a moment, they felt the whole world melt away.

Well, that is the first chapter of my first fan fiction, and so far I think it is okay. If you have any suggestions or constructive criticisms, please post them here.
