OOC: GRR!! Internet died for a while. Sorry guys -_-
Greysen took the unguent with a grunt that may have been thanks, if Ristaron was fairly creative, and dabbed a little into his more major wounds before handing the still mostly full vial back to the Ranger. After that, he recovered his rucksack and rummaged about in it for a few moments, until he found the strips of cloth he was looking for. Binding his major wounds and ignoring anything less than a deep stab, the Pit Fighter managed to look like hell even after what passed for medical ministrations. At Ristaron’s disapproving look, Greysen spoke.
“I heal fast and clean. Needed to, in the Pits. Don’t need your magic gook right now as much as someone else might later. Used what I had to use to get the job done,” Greysen rumbled. Then he chuckled darkly. “Besides, summoner’s right. We’ll have trouble getting a Monk’s help for a while, I’ll bet, so your magic gook is suddenly a lot more important than it used to be, eh?”
Then Greysen turned to the summoner, smiling sardonically. “Well and good for you to take off a blindfold, but I can’t disguise myself so easily, or at all. Even if you found me another set of clothes, I’m still my size, and my hair was spelled this color to make identifying me in the Pits, or out of them should I escape, easier. It burns out normal dye as well. Of course, I can sit in the wilderness, away from anyone who has a need to recognize me, while you go about whatever business needs doing in towns, eh summoner?”
Getting up, the Pit Fighter went to see to Serrina, checking the wolf for wounds. She fidgeted a great deal, making Greysen’s job nearly impossible. When she finally twisted free of his hands and jogged off, Greysen cursed softly. “Ristaron…what do I have to do to get her to sit still?”

The ranger looked up from his own wound, which he was applying a dab of unguent to. The question ellicited raised eyebrows, for though Ristaron and Morgan had been together for many years he had never once tried to control the immense beast.
"I cannot profess any command over Morgan", he admitted, "she has a mind of her own and I have never tried to force her to do something against her will". Corking the vial once more, Ristaron used his left hand to put it away, saving himself the pain from the wound in his right forearm.
"As for my disguise", he said distantly, drawing upon his creativity, "my white hair has served to make me look aged in the past. I just need a cloak like I had that one time..."
His train of thought was interrupted when one image came unexpectedly to mind. A face he hadn't seen since they returned from the mists.
But why the monk was so clear in his mind over all the other members of the party was as meaningful as the taste of the divine kiss.
(That's a 'where are you?' to MentalMDC. I haven't seen a post from you for a while... that goes for the rest of the inactive party members too ;-) )

OOC: MentalMDC left the game, Ristaron, as did Symeon and a few others. You, me, Doug, Richmuel, and Goat are all that's left, methinks.

OOC: Ristaron AND Greysen not enough tank? Facing anyone except a god or a powerful mage, I doubt there is anything that can stand up against a party with them in the team... not unless they have some immunity to melee.
With just the four of us we can do, just think of the canon Guild Wars characters (Devona, Aidan, Mhenlo, Cynn), and our party of four makes sense.

OOC: Five, Rist :P. You, me, Goats, Richmuel, and Doug. R/W, P/R, E/N, N/?*, Rt/?* Given that Ristaron is hard to hit and Greysen's the next best thing to indestructible in normal combat, plus Serrina and Morgan, we got tank in plenty. We've also got Necromancers in force, which helps a good deal, and some healing in the form of Relius and Ristaron's bottle of gook. I think we've got an acceptable force mix, and an acceptable player count as well. No pressing need to recruit.

OOC: As he was trained in Serenity Temple for a while, I'd say Relius is a Rt/Mo. And that makes an OOC post from everyone but Richmuel. But let's start the IC going again!
“I beg your pardon sir, but I did not just simply remove a blindfold.” Relius was frustrated by the pit fighter’s sarcasm. “I have temporarily weakened myself to help our chances of survival,” he said curtly. The ritualist fought back the urge to utter a rude remark. Conflict among the five would only make the situation worse.
“I realize we haven’t been properly introduced. I am Relius Espirin: Luxon, Ritualist, and keeper of-” he stopped mid-sentence. He was so used to saying the phrase that he had said it even after Rodgort’s defeat. “Never mind. While we prepare, I shall summon a simple healing spirit to tend to our wounds. It will take time, but the spirit will move with us. I would reattach my focusing cloth to quicken the healing process, but… out here close to the fort, it’s too risky.”
A few moments later, a pale blue sprite-like spirit flew around the party. As it circled the area, Relius’ arrow wound began to feel less painful. The spirit could heal many minor wounds at once, but it could only slightly repair more urgent ones. It would do for now. Relius sat down in the bloodstained grass and raised his hands to the sky.
‘What on earth have I gotten myself into…’

OOC: Right, five. My apologies.
IC:
As the ranger dwelt on where he could obtain a large cloak, he looked over his current outfit. His dirt-stained, rugged clothes were ragged shadows of their once proud selves. Constant wear had taken its toll on their stern fabric, and Ristaron considered for the first time in a while that he would need replacements. A dark green tunic, bark-brown pants with matching weather-worn coat, and cured leather shin-high boots with matching belt from which hung Ristaron's trusted rapiers came together as a practical outfit, light enough for easy mobility and resilient enough to last days, weeks, even months out in the wild.
Now on the wrong side of the law once again, the ranger decided he would look for newer clothes as he searched for a better disguise.
"We need to lay low for a few days, maybe a week", Ristaron voiced, "I know this area well, there are some places we can hide that won't be discovered by a walk-by scan". Turning his midnight eyes on the rest of the group, he crossed his arms, waiting for any objection at him taking the group to a safer location.

OOC: My turn for OOC lol. Sorry for my absence, XP went crazy or something and tore my Hard Drive to shreds so I've got a enw one and am up and running. Was a Disk Read Error or something so the computer wouldn't boot :S
IC: Sasha tore away some of the more extravagant features of her costume that were little more than spikes and art pieces to make her look more sinister as a Necromancer. They were unneeded and would show through a cloak. Out of a bag Sasha pulled a great cloak that covered most her body and once the heavy hood was drawn over her head it concealed most of her face. Sasha had called upon this cloak to hide herself more than once, essential in her line of work.
Night had fallen quickly and the silver moon illuminated the forest before them. Having agreed to follow the Ristaron the party ran into the woods for fear of a returning search party. Looking back into the distance a plume of fire shot into the sky, a beacon sent by a mage most likely. Now everyone would be out on the search. A plume of vapour erupted from each members mouth as they panted in the cold night air, traversing the winding paths and crunching on the leaves. Sticking close to the trees the party lurked in what few shadows they could find. As a ranger Ristaron was very good at covering their tracks but maybe it would not be enough, the click clack of horse hooves pounded from all around, figures could be seen rushing past in various directions but it was obvious they had not been seen. Looking for a hole or dip; the party ran for cover as a patrol rushed past. These men would not give up unitl the group was found. Sasha stared deep into Ristarons eyes, only he knew the way and it was now up to him to get them out of the mess Sasha had started.
OCC: Hope you didn't mind me temporarily moving the party so we are actually on the move now. Now its up to Ristaron to lead the way.

OOC: If there's no objection, I'll continue Richmuel's start.
IC:
A quick motion from Ristaron's left hand was as much as he could do to get the attention of the party. To speak with enemies so near would instantly give away their position. Quickly but silently, the ranger led them into a cave almost invisible unless you were actively searching for it. Parting threads of hanging moss to open the entrance, Ristaron's midnight eyes remained always on the surrounding timberland until everyone was safely inside.
Eyes already semiadjusted to the darkness, the ranger was able to see enough to trod along a fair ways into the cave, which extended deep into the hill and under plenty of forest floor.
"We should be safe here for the night", the ranger said, giving a sympathetic look to Greysen, who's head would easily scrape the roof of the cave should he stand his full height.

OOC: Alright. Here be deal.
It is, once again, Finals Week for me, and in a week I've got a week-long trip to the Boundary Waters for vital college credits. I will try my hardest to get a post up before I go, but it's going to be difficult to find the time/energy for something quality. If I don't manage it, and ye can't wait a week...well, feel free to autopilot Greysen out of the situation and go without him. I won't inflict that kind of wait on someone unless they really can't live without Grey.
Sorry guys...>_<

OOC: Who needs the life, Food? The guys playing a lovely little forum game in their spare time or the one who can't find anything better to do in his than foul-mouth the players? Honestly, the man posting five words of grammatically poor sentence in one of the longest-running roleplays I see here, fresh out of nowhere and with absolutely no reason to poo on the parade, looks a great deal more the part of a loser than those who put time, effort, and energy into creating a story even those not participating can read and enjoy. I would, if I were you, refrain from further derogatory comments against the players here, given that this is what this forum was made for, we're using it properly, we have done nothing wrong, and you look quite foolish enough as it is. Don't compound your error, Comestible Man.
Now that that's over with...what's going down here, guys? We going to just hold the game until everyone's back?

OOC: I'm in a city 6 hours away right now, about to embark on another 7 hour drive to our destination, where I'll be without internet for a few days. I don't expect to get internet again before I return on August 4th, so don't hold up the show waiting for me.
If Laserlight returns before I do, he has my permission to roleplay my character - otherwise I am perfectly fine with the rest of you having my character on autopilot so the story can go on.
And foody, I refuse to be disrespected by someone who doesn't respect themself enough to capitalize their username. Or type in proper english, at that. Please leave before further harsh words ensue.
