Default The Scribes Nemesis.

Im sure many of you have read the many issues of The Scribe. Have you read any other publications for Tyria? No? Well, there are many other unamed scribes that yearn for that much recognition.

I don't know if I shall continue this story, but hey, here goes.

Part 1

I was overwhelmed with joy when I sighted the gates to the Temple of the Ages. I had been hiking for miles through the Krytan swamps being chased by all manner of undead abominations that had plagued Kryta.
I walked in a found myself a rock to sit on. The Temple of the Ages was a hive of activity. Adventurers were coming in and out of the portals leading to the Fissure of Woe and the Underworld. I noticed that there seemed to be more adventurers coming in than out. I was beginning to have second thoughts about entering the Fissure when I noticed a Mesmer reading the latest issue of “The Scribe”.
This was the last straw. I had had enough of Simon the Scribe. It should have been me writing for “The Scribe”. I would prove to them I was a better reporter by going into the Fissure and coming out with the story of the year! I grabbed my belongings, which were nothing more than a few scrolls, bits of parchment, pens and a rather short “Long sword” given to me by a kindly ghost in Elona Reach, and started the painstakingly long process of searching for a group. Few people would want a scribe in their group. It was only practical, a scribe would be of no use to the group in combat.
I saw a group of adventurers dressed in black trimmed armour. They were no doubt veterans. I could tell from their gait, their aura of confidence and of course, their ridiculously expensive Obsidian armour. Most teams that went into the fissure came with a well organized eight man group. This team, however, was on man short. I approached who seemed to be their leader. The rest of the group looked at me in amaze. The general public thought of scribes as people who lived in expensively furnished apartments writing wild stories about dragons and knights and damsels in distress. This was true for a few scribes, but not for me. I wrote only the truth. The leader who identified himself said nothing, instead he turned to his group and held a whispered discussion with an Elementalist. He turned around and said “The Fissure is a dangerous place, even to an experienced person, I doubt you will come out of that portal should you choose to step in. Do you still want to come?” There was no doubt about it. I had everything to gain, and nothing left to lose. I paid my share of the offering and stepped into the portal leading to the Fissure of Woe.

... as I opened my eyes after our teleportation to the realm of Balthazar was complete, I looked around, and noticed a nearby Champion by the name Rastigan, and asked him about everything I could. Before I had the chance, my team beheaded me and said "DONT TALK TO RASTIGAN OMFG"
