The creation of a haiku is an ancient and venerated art form in Japan, where careful consideration is given to the sounds of the words, the imagery, even the look of the calligrophy of the Japanese pictograms, all of it coming together to produce a thing of beauty, and hopefully, of truth.

Predictably, western civilization missed the point entirely and focused only on the 3 line, 5-7-5 syllable form, and proceeded to produce fart jokes labeled "haikus."

I'd like to celebrate our glorious buffoonery, by instituting the Haiku Seppaku (seppaku = ritual suicide) thread, where guru folk can post their own delicate flowers of creativity.

The rules:
1. Three lines
2. First line 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables, third line 5 syllables.
3. Topic should be Guild Wars related.

I'll get us started:

Rurik! Killed level ten.
Eighteen higher with the Lich.
Death was good for him.

I'm sure that Alesia's going to get really bored after nightfall comes out, because *everybody* will be bringing their Monk hero in her place, if anything just to have the ability to leave Healing Touch off the skill bar.
