Good work overall, though a couple things I notice are that the torso is a bit long, and the foreshortened hand should be a little larger. The perspective is well done, but I think even a little bit of block-shading would go a long way to promote the idea of depth in the picture.

Ye, if thats where your starting from, then a bit of practice could make you some pretty kool stuff.
Try drawing out a stick figure in fine pencil first then going over it in darker strokes, helps to keep perspective right.

I agree with Martian. I often use stick figures to help keep my characters in the right perspective and also to make sure they're as anatomically correct as possible.

P.S. It's really good for a first attempt.
