Well, of course...you expect me to show a video of a tutorial showing how to get an IDS in which an IDS doesn't drop??
It's not like I did the run only once. Want to download videos of the 20 runs where nothing but white items dropped?? Heh.

Nice build, similar to the one I run. One thing I found useful is having 16 in strength, that way you can keep a constant dolyak sig and elemental resistance up. Also I would reccommend not using the HoD Lt. helm, instead use a stength +1 helm and a shield with -2dmg(stance) -3(hexed). If you can manage to acquire the shield you can easily take on 20+ imps. While hexed you should only be taking 2dmg from ice spear. For some reason it makes no difference if you have a major or superior absorbtion. Any way Happy IDS farming

Thanks for the great video, and all the good info, I have made four runs thru the cave
and up to the Ice beast, but no IDS yet, did get a gold wingblade sword 14% above 50
health.
I take the same path as you did in the video, but was getting very frustrated with
the giant`s stomp, so I just pulled out my bow and pulled them over by the spawn
shrine, they usually come in groups of four, and cleaned them all out got some purple
drops and then went on.
Once I encountered two frost wurms in the back of the giant hangout area, they
kicked my ###, thank god for candy canes.
thanks again....

Kappers build works really well for me, but I get destroyed if I even look in the general direction of the Ice Beast and Azure Shadows.
And thanks for the post Kapper, you = the man.

The Azure Shadows are easy to kill, but you have to use Healing Signet when your life reachs mid-way. The Ice Beast you can just ignore, because it does little damage.

Stuff
To those of you who said TY... "You're Welcome." I am glad people have had success and are enjoying the fun and challenge of soloing for an icy.
To those struggling on the Azures, the key is to use your desperation blows and espeically healing signet as much as possible WHILE DOLYAK is up. If you use the Healing Sig at other times, there is a significant chance you will be knocked down by Signet of Judgment mid-use. It is also key you make sure you go a step or two at a time so that you only get 2-4 Shadows at once. If you run up there and get 6-8 on you, you're gonna have problems. Also, always do the 50g donation to dwayna at the statue when you have favor. 6 Health per second makes life a lot easier. I also maintain elemental resistance while fighting the azures as it makes the retarded ice beast's damage virtually nonexistant. I never even attack him. The build I use is simply horrible at killing him and it's just not worth the effort, in my opinion.
DeathWish...well done. Have you gone back for another try and a less heinous spawn? I can't tell by the picture but I'm guessing there were Avicara around harassing you while you tried to take on the Troll and Imps just outside the cave? Avicara at the same time as imps and a troll is a royal pain when they spawn all together just outside the cave. In such cases what I try to do is just run past them all right into the cave. Often the Avicara turn around once you go in the cave...if you can live long enough. Also try not to taunt the Avicara by flexing at them. I find it gets them quite upset.
For those struggling with giants, 3 options:
1) Run the other way to the cave
2) Bring Balanced Stance (and combo with Charge)
3) Just kill the 3-4 blocking the narrow path....proper use of Dolyak's and Healing Signet will keep you alive as you chip away at them with bleeding and desperation blow.

yay finnaly got one...gotta say i ahd a better spawn than the one uyou had in the vid :P
i do have a tip for you people stuggling with trolls. So far i have only faced groups of imps with ONE troll in them [apart from the first run i even attemped...yeesh horrible], in this case you should kill the troll as fast as poss. you wil probably not be able to use signet as it will be distrubed but beat seven shades of it out of him then leg it back. the imps will give up on you, you regain health, then carry on as normal.
did anoher run n got another ids! im chuffed i made it. gonna go on another run tonight
DO NOT SELL FRIGID HEARTS!!!! you can trade them to a collector in droknars for candy canes
good luck all...that helm from hod rockz0r
