Here is the video I recorded today. My first GW character ever, an Assassin, soloing one of the hardest bosses in the games. The entire team is sitting on the upper edge of the radar, watching in awe. We all fought our way up to that point, closed every rift and killed the Lich together, and while they went to get the bonus, I stayed back and took on Shiro. Alone.

The entire battle was over 8 minutes, but the first 5 minutes was exactly the same as the first 30 seconds or so of what I'm posting. After he hit 50% health, things really sped up.

Here is the build itself, its the first variant listed further down. This is a great farmer/general PvE build as well.

Also, the monk wasn't necessary, I only had him sitting on the side for when I slipped while talking to teammates. If I was concentrating the whole time, I wouldn't have needed anything outside my skill bar.

Next time you hear anyone say that Assassins can't tank, just point em here.

Wanna know whats funny?

I just looked at my attributes... I was using attributes from a completely different build, my DM was only 9, and I had about 60 points left to spend.

Im gonna redo the run some other day when I have time. Ill cut out the monk and show u how its really done

OMG critical defenses, I COMPLETELY forgot about that skill! ::goes off to edit skill template:: I actually use a variation of that build for normal pve-ing but I bring feigned neutrality instead of shadow refuge. I actually only use crit strike when I'm low on energy :P

EDIT: @DarkGanni it's not that hard to hold aggro on shiro, just let him hit you for a bit and then don't let anybody else get near him and he'll hold aggro on your tank forever. My guildie and I did that for when I as trying to get masters on this mission on my sin. My guildie did a warrior tanking build w/ wild blow and we brought 4 sf eles. I pulled all the henchies around activating the shrines while my friend tanked and then we all came back and killed shiro...eventually. It took like 3min for him to die and my sin was useless. :P Ah well, this is what I get for not looking through my skill list properly.

Sorry, but soloing means just you, not a hero monk with you.

Yes I knooow... Im gonna do it again without that monk. I wouldnt have even had it in the first place if my team had 1.

This is not solo I wanna see the build without Prot Spirit and Heal from monk and yes without those blessings. :P

The point of this build is twofold:

1: Tank Shiro while the team gets the bonus(all of the blessings)
2: Either kill him off yourself, or let the team come in for a faster kill.

You don't HAVE to solo him, but you will be very much able to with this build.

With all Blessing and Protective Spirit + 1 Monk Hero, my Frenzy Mesmer can tank Shiro too. So next time you hear someone say Mesmer can't tank, just tell them that.

Mesmers can tank fine, With all the Mantra's and Resistance.

But whats with all those buffs?, are there even so much statues in that mission?

The bonus requires you to rally the five true gods, and each time you rally one you receive all of their blessings.
