Picture War - art based game.
Ok, I stole this idea from another forum where we had a lot of fun with it. Basically the OP (That's me!) posts an image of a terrain or similar, as you can see below.
3 more posters need to join the game, once we've got all 4 players we take it in turns to edit the original picture in an attempt to conquer the small island depicted in the OP.
You do this by drawing in 3 "troops" or "units" and then each turn you move them or make them start an activity by drawing it. For example, let's say you want to build a fort, you'd draw your players stacking bricks, then on your next go you could draw the fort itself, and on the go after that you could set up a catapult on the fort by drawing it, and the go after that you could draw the catapult firing at the opposing team. Mean while, if the opposing team sees this coming perhaps they'll draw themselves digging beneath the ground to avoid your catapult. And so on.
The rules are that each player must wait their turn, players have 10 minutes max once the game has begun to draw their turn, or their turn is skipped. You can do pretty much anything you want to do, awards will be given at the end of the game for:
Absurdity
Comedy
Quality of drawing
Conquering the Island
Players can only do something in the game that they're able to draw, so no "killing this guy on the red team" unless you're able to draw one of your guys doing the deed. You can't simply draw a red player dead, someone must be able to look through the images and see the series of events like a little animation taking place.
Players must spend their first turn "drawing" their players, they must pick a colour for their players that no other player has used (my players are red, pirates!) and a maximum of 3 players max to start.
All images must be made in MS Paint, no copying images into the game from the internet or anywhere else. Other than that you can do anything you want to do in an attempt to claim the island, part of the fun is seeing how much a mess of the picture the posters make step by step.
Remember, if you want to have your units build a bridge, you must draw them building it, you can't simple draw a finished bridge in one turn.
So we have 3 places, who wants to play?
--edit---
Game on hold until tomorrow, I think this has taken too long for me to start up talking to people on IRC and it's better I start it off tomorrow when I have more time.
