omg. I really don't know what to say other than WOW!

and mistical miss, I'm glad you are pointing out others mistakes for them, but maybe you should worry less about other peoples work and concentrate on your own? I used to point out other peoples work and then realised I needed to improve a lot of things and I have improved greatly since then!

Have a nice day everyone. Keep up with the fantastic drawings! ^^

Thanks, High resolution gaming ftw... although it gets really annoying when some older games like tribes vengeance fail to go widescreen. Anyways... my three characters, (i am okay with that price, tyvm), are here:

I'll leave the drawing to you. Whatever you feel/think about the character from looking at them at first sight (in the screenshots) is what they are. Since i fail with words, heres an example. If you thought from looking at the warrior, that she appears strong in the screenshot and ranger appears serious and to the point, then that is what they are. To sum it all up, I'll leave the pose for you to experiment with. I'm sure i'll love it no matter how it turns out.

@angelexperiment: Theres nothing wrong with pointing out errors/improvements in peoples work, and i find mistical miss knows what he/shes talking about. I like to draw too since i am a big anime/cg/art fan but i am fairly bad at the moment, so i haven't posted my work yet. Probably will sometime in the future so the artists here can tell me where/how to improve.

What's to keep him from commenting on other people's work AND getting better at his own? Really good comments are like gold to artists, they're never a bad thing. Gushing "omgz ur so guud" comments are nice, but they don't help an artist improve. There's nothing better than getting a detailed and well-written comment from a fellow artist, who points out the good parts, and the bits that need improving. This is how artists learn, by commenting on others work and getting comments in return.
I don't even like calling them mistakes, they're just "bits you need to improve on".

Oh, and Nian, wonderful post about artists rights. Try not to worry about sounding too stiff or annoyed, lots of artists face the same problems and I think if we just keep on pointing out our rights, people will slowly learn about them.

I never use my artists right If people would steal, they'd steal from better artists ^^.

And angelexperiment, I do concentrate on getting better myself, but that shouldn't stop me from commenting like perynne and etherealbyte said. And though my own pieces have many more flaws, I sometimes fail to notice them or am too far in my work to try and fix them (when you don't have photoshop that gets a lot harder).
Though I'm proud of some of my work so far (and even then I see things that should be changed)... to become a great artist I should improve a lot. I'm going to try and become an arts teacher though. Perhaps thats part of the reason why I like to comment on other works..^^.

I know I know, I only confirmed what perynne said, now you hear it from me aswell

Oh, sorry for taking ur thread nian and etherealbyte I remember you posting in my thread aswell now ^^. I already had a sketch of the pose, I'll work on that drawing today

I don't mind really. It turned out to be quite an interesting read all in all with all the comments on what everybody thinks about artist rights/commenting etc. Personally I appreciate critique because it's really important in my field(I'm a media communications student/major 3D). If it's straight on the dot I don't even need to hear any prettyfied/nicely put versions of it but that's just me. Ofcourse I don't always 'believe' everything someone tells me to work on and I'm mostly looking for things that affect the whole overall mood of the picture since I'm not an art student.

Normally if I would critique someone(which I don't do 'cause it's hard and you have to think. I like pointing out what I liked instead. :P) I'd sandwhich the crit between two positive and encouraging comments.

Either way I'm gonna get back to those commissions now...ahem. XD

Well ofcourse not everything someone comments adds to the picture, a big deal of it is style and some of it is just the result of looking at things wrong with your own picture of it in mind. (If you have an idea of what I mean ^^).

Much of the mood of a picture is determined by its colour, which you have a terrific sense of.. (I'm only doing pencil sketches, partly because I draw a lot at school and party because I don't have digital software to work with, so I'm not that experienced with working in colour)

hehe, sorry mistical miss (sorry if i spelt it wrong). I understand why you're doing it and that wasn't meant to sound mean either, so sorry if it did. I was half asleep (midnight) and i wasn't thinking clearly. Anyway, nice drawings both of you. Keep it up. Wish i could draw like you.

I've been told to make a deal with the devil so i can draw lol^^

Finally had time to finish this for Nkah Sennyt. Notice something wrong in there? I actually came up with a background! That's a rare occurance right there...

Some details from the fullsize version.

Hope you like it. I'll have to figure out a way to send you the full size version. The file is 11Mb .psd file. :S

Now on to EtherealByte.

P.S. AW Lore if you notice this...after we met ingame I accidentally added you to my ignore list for a while instead of friends list. Sorry about that. I'm so dumb, seriously. Please forgive. >.<

How about zipping it then uploading it somewhere? That would seem to be the easiest way around it, if you ask me.

That's totally adorable, I love it! Thanks a ton. <333

omg tiny froggie ^____________^

Edit: Throw me an in-game name and I'll try to get the gold to you [and Noa >.<] sometime this weekend. Maybe I'll try my photoshop skills and make that a wallpaper somehow, or combine it with Noa's, or something... so pretty. <333

Yeapp. maybe I should not have made it a .psd file but anyhoo. I uploaded it onto mine and Noanoa's server. Just hope it works now. Forgot I could zip it though. Because I'm just too dumb to think logically like that. XD

Server ate my posting.

Very beautiful drawing, I love the colorscheme.

If it's ok with Nkah Sennyt then you can always send a fullsize JPG or PNG set to the highest quality settings. Fine enough for print and easier uploading.

Fullsize lpg/png is fine with me, I can't think of anything I'd do with the layers. I'm not printing anything off though, I don't have a printer.

...darnit, I have no money in GW and I'm too busy IRL to beg for an art exchange. That picture is delightful. *happy sigh*

OMG!!! You keep outdoing yourself. That last one was amazing (the backgorund adds a lot to it as well). Also, i am thinking since mine is a 3 character thing, it'll be bigger than Nkah's 11mb. So i definately dont want the .psd file :P just the jpg or png wud be fine.

It's beautiful, very good work, Nian. What brush did you use for the brown lines of her face?
