Eek,looking at your paintings,Grey Fox, makes me wanna know how to paint X_X...
Your coloring is awsome...and your drawing is improving too,I hope you got rid of the 3D models!  I might draw something for contest,something quick. I never meant to enter becouse I was too busy with comissions,but two more days and i might doodle something. |

Mystical Miss: Tea: Try and press your colored pencil harder to get deeper colours, it works great, I've done it a lot lately, you go through ur pencil twice as quick but it gives a great effect to mix light pencilstrokes with heavily pressed ones, and I wonder, will there be eyes?
Yeah, I do that somewhat, but my scanner doesn't like anything I do anymore, so the color always comes out shotty. And no, there won't be eyes. That's just how I roll. :P |

We originally planned to have an individual category ("honourable mentions") for drawings which were of relatively bad quality (simple stick drawings, simple photoshops, etc), but since we've had almost none of such entries we'll be removing that category, and extending the main prize lists with the prizes which was supposed to go into honourable mentions category. Also, thanks to a donation from a friend I'm able to increase the overall gold prizes one final time. I decided to increase the prizes for duo prizes since I get the impression most of the competition is for that category. Prizes for pictures with both Shan and Sanra: 1st place: 200k + special prize 2nd: 100k 3rd: 75k 4th: 60k 5th: 50k 6th: 40k 7th: 30k 8th: 20k 9th: 15k 10th:10k 11th: Mini pet Varesh + 5k 12th: Necrid pet Horseman + 4k 13th: Mini pet Warthog + 3k 14th: Mini pet Warthog + 2k 15th: Mini pet Warthog + 1k Prizes for pictures with only Sanra or Shan: Best Shan picture: 150k + special prize Best Sanra picture: 150k + special prize 3rd place: 60k 4th: 55k 5th: 45k 6th: 35k 7th: 25k 8th: 20k 9th: 15k 10th: 10k 11th: Mini pet Jade Armor + 5k 12th: Mini pet Fungal Wallow + 4k 13th: Mini pet Warthog + 3k 14th: Mini pet Warthog + 2k 15th: Mini pet Warthog + 1k So the very final amount of gold prizes sum up to: 1195k! |

My entry:
Done with copic markers, coloured pencils and some touch-ups in Photoshop. So many people ended up doing their entries on the computer, so I decided to stand out from the group and go traditional. Which didn't end up being a wise choice... >_> Note to self: remember to check that your markers actually WORK before starting to colour. Also, get more markers. A few base shades just doesn't cut it. Anyway... better luck next time. Aeeh, there's just so much amazing artwork around! I can't wait to see the results!

All I can say is wheew....! After a day's worth of mesmerizing, Sanra is tired out. After this I am also...a bit roughed out now. I was originally planning to draw a pic based on some of the mesmer skill icons but didn't find any I particularly liked for the task. Although this one made me laugh a lot because the artwork is of a hot mesmer male behind a dumbfounded wammo haha, me not knowing much about mesmer skills since I don't have a mesmer. Now I want one... :/ [skill]Visions of Regret[/skill] ravensong, haha! That's actually pretty funny cause it's so damn true. XDDD EDIT:// Fixed a spelling mistake in my duo piece...
