Don't mind asp1988, Haggard. He just can't appreciate true art. Your artwork is definitely the most impressive I've seen so far, and I've already planned to give you the top prize... hell, I'll give you ALL the prizes for that artwork!
(warning, slight traces of sarcasm in my post )

Well since everyone is posting their entries from both forums over here and on GWonline, I thought I'd do it too just to be cool... >.<
*note this is a copy paste of my original post since I'm too lazy to rewrite it.
So here it is, I call it "The younger days: a brawl at the bar"
So my concept is Shan and Sanra during their younger "wilder" days where they're ruffing up a bit of money, and some clothing from a few unsuspecting travelers(hence the wanted poster in the back) at the local Krytan poker bar
I hope my changing of the hair isn't a problem, it was the easiest solution to make them look younger
Boy do I feel bad for the poor guys whose clothes are on the table >.<
Oh and btw, yes I know both poker and the digital camera are anachronisms and didn't exist in Guild Wars but heck, I couldn't resist
Any criticism would be much appreciated since I might plan to open a sketchy thread later on since I really enjoy doing these ^_^. I'm still deciding on whether or not it would be a good idea.
Anyways, thanks for the fun opportunity and and ty in advance for the critics if you decide to give any ^_^
Kay

So many good entries are coming in!
Can't wait to see some more, and I definately can't wait to get mine in!

Awesome idea ^^
You wanted some advise so here I go :
The clothing in the front looks unnatural, lay some of you own cloths on a table and you will see many creases, adding those to clothing makes them look like clothing ^^.
The tongue looks a bit odd, I don't know how to draw a tongue like that, but it doesn't seem right.
I'd have the arm rest on her shoulder, instead of hovering above, they are close friends after all

Thanks for the tip Mystical, now that I look at it, the arm really does look funny, I didn't notice the empty space I left over the shoulder >.< It looked normal on sketch
Not that I'm too lazy to redo it(Oh wait, I am ), but I think I'll leave it like that, my mistake I'll assume. I have another WIP and other stuff to do at the moment anyways so maybe later if the finish date isn't in .

i think it looks great kayleen, only one thing i could say to fix up. Looking upon it immediatelys, both characters have dark outlines around them, though the outlines look like pencil and are different strengths the entire drawing (outline fading in + out). I think it'd look better if you painted one uniform solid black outline on the characters to get rid of the sketchy feel!
Thats not to say it isnt a brilliant piece, good job

Duo Work in Progress
I retooled the environment for my single character submission of Shanaeri to make it ready for my Duo Character piece. This is a work in progress. The piece has a widescreen aspect ratio, so maximize your browsers to see it all.
And here is a render of the other character model I built, Sanra:
The next step is to drop the two characters into the environment I built. The final piece will also feature a special appearance by another Guild Wars creature.

I still feel it's a bit unfair to do 3D stuff in a drawing contest.... but I'm not going to complain.
Haven't worked on my submission much lately. I just got a new job that is very taxing, and I pretty much go to work, come home, and sleep. Hopefully I'll find some time to work on it soon though.
