Not for slow people like me. Heh. I'm hoping to have a new scan ready within the next day or two.
And I'd like to point out to everyone that the world is at an end.
It was all hot and nice yesterday, and now it's snowing.
SNOWING. Seriously... April Fools Day was yesterday...
They don't have to pull a mean joke like this the day after.

Just a Teaser
Here is a teaser for my project of the top half of just the character. There is also an environment she'll go into, which I've already built. Everything is being modeled from scratch in XSI. Click the thumbnail to view the full-sized render.

Some great works here, the modelling and texturing on the Kurzick 15K is amazing. Going to be a tough decision for sure..

Shanaeri Rynale Final Composite
Shanaeri Rynale takes a break from fighting evil deep within the Maguuma Jungle and plays her flute for the elusive Guild Wars Frog.
For now, this is my final entry. I may tweak it before the deadline. I may also submit more entries.
Edit: Made some tweaks.

Awesome thing u made there..
perhaps a few things u may still want to change:
Her left arm (for the viewer) has a thinner under arm than upper arm, ofcourse part of this is because the arm is bend, but I think the difference is still a bit too big.
The difference between the background elements is a bit big at some points (ground and left mushroom for example)
Add some green to the flowers on the right.
Don't have time to comment more because it takes much time to find flaws in this thing :P

@ Mistical - Maybe you should just compliment it instead of trying to find flaws, then. (;

The last sentence on itself was the compliment, and a worthy one . Apart from that the style in which it is done, can't say anything good or bad about that, its just not my style, though I love the detail that has been put into it.
The eyes fit the pose perfectly aswell.
^^ That added a bit on the good side :P
Thanks for helping me back on the track Nkah, guess it was just jealousy

I love your entry, it looks so cool! although i personally do not hold with the idea of computer generated pictures and feel it's a disadvantage for those of us who don't have XSI or photoshop. However, i can guess it probably takes a lot of time and skill to do that on the computer, so i can't really complain, and besides, its really nice. lol, with all the nice drawings so far, i'll be happy to win anything at all!

Wow, that's some very neat modeling! 3D works are really rare, but it's nice to see someone here with the talent to pull it off looking so amazing. You've managed to get some amazing textures there, and I like the way she doesn't just look like a bunch of blocks thrown together. Great job!
I think something like this can't really be commented on with the same base as a normal drawing, since technically this isn't "drawn" at all... still, it deserves to be in this competition as it takes skill to model something like that in 3D software (and it's definitely art ).
Now to finish off the one I'm hoping to send in... >_>

WTB Dilettante's Armor of Minor Arts!
"I was painting the other day by the lake near Ferndale. A group of Dredge attacked me, and I had to flee. A Dredge, a sly Dredge if there ever was one, stole my art supplies, of all things! I don't know what it wanted with them, but they were really expensive... a gift from the Kurzick master who trained me in the arts. Please, can you retrieve my stolen art supplies?"
"I have always been a supporter of the arts."
Quest added: Artistic Endeavors
Err... yes.
Will cuteness rise again, or will monotony prevail?
Only time will tell.
