Results from an Alliance Art Event, "The Lago Shrine"
I had planned to make an art competition this spring, but I got it ready one day too late (just after Sectus and Shan had launched their). With all the followers it spawned I decided to make it an alliance event instead. I got some very impressive submissions. A very rewarding way to spend all my gold accumulated through 2 years.
The Event was to make "image" of my necro "Lago Mortis". I provided some screenshots to give inspiration and "photoshop fuel". RESULTS I valued creativity and good ideas as highly as skills to materialize them! This is what I, after quite a struggle, came up with: 1st place: 250k + one of each dye Tia "Lago Mortis and Rurik the Prince of Ascalon" Comment: Spot-on comic! Really good storytelling, With a great beginning and an absolutely hillarious ending! The Artist got inspired and followed it up with another piece: Lago Mortis in Elona -- Land of the Golden Sun 2nd: 150k + one of each dye Nenearen "Lego Lago - Tree" Comment: Really creative - especially since you get the absurdly matching title "Lego Lago" that surely will spawn a new line of lego toys! 3rd: 100k + one of each dye Arthur "no title" Comment: To me this is an amazing craftmanship and I really like the look - "Don't mess with me!" 4th: 50k Thalion Eggtragedy Comment: Another hillarious one. It took me some time to discover all detals. 5th: 40k Minna Lago goes Morrowind Minna's full Lago Morrowind Gallery Comment: A mindblowing transfer of Lago to Morrowind, and I really look good there! 6th: 30k Jounin Lago in UW Comment: Simple,but very wellcomposed. I love UW and hope for a pet aatrax for my 2nd birthday :-) 7th: 25k Friend of Hadus' daughter Black Winged Angel Comment: I look so sweet! 8th: 20k Mistical miss Untitled Comment: Nothing like dipping your feet in warm dragon blood after a hard battle! 9th: 15k Qer Never frame a necro Comment: Listen to Qer..Just don't do it! This also adding to the many creative ways of making a Lago "image". 9th: 15 k Zalis untitled Comment: I simple like this portrait! the rest of the contestants got 10k each (no order) Yozhura Lago the BiPer!
