@ Garreth...i have your watercolor finished. I've been working on it during religion, and today i finished so when i got home from school i painted it.

only i wont be able to give it to nymph to scan until monday, and i know you want your drawing, so i'll do a background for you while you're waiting.

@ mistical miss, while my laptop is broken i am unable to play guildwars, but you're welcome to pay nymph anytime she's on, she'll see that i get the money. glad you like the picture.

okay, here you are, my original sketch and the watercolor.

my dad actually fixed my laptop! so i can play guildwars again and get my commissions done on time. i am shocked actually, i thought my dad would either blow up the laptop or else just never get around to fixing it.

(and sorry about the background, i know there's not really much contrast between the background and the figure, but it's more the scanner than me i swear.)

I like that Miss Danshai. Very nice. And I think the contrast is fine. There's just enough that you can tell what's her and what's sand.

So how do you do those? Sketch it and then use some kind of water paints? What kind of paper? Sorry I'm so curious but I'm always impressed when I see watercolor paintings because my memories of water colors are ones that I did as a little child. And they were quite messy.

So who do I pay? You or nymph? I'll add you both to my friends list and try to catch you ingame. If you see me just give me a shout.

lol.

i usually sketch the drawing first, and then i tape it to my window and trace it onto watercolor paper which is much thicker than normal paper. then i paint, starting with lighter colors and moving onto darker colors. i also sometimes use watercolor pencils for details and drawing lines and stuff.

it's really fun, only my watercolor set is so bad and i also have to keep stealing my mom's paintbrushes cuz the two i have are too big really.

Sorry it took so long to get this posted. I havent been on the computer much; ive been studying for finals. hopefully you arent too mad at me...

but since it took so long, and the scan didnt even come out very good, i attempted to color it on photoshop...don't laugh, this is this first photoshop art i've ever done, and i gave up on the background...can you tell? hope you like them.

I'm not mad at all, as a fellow artist I can understand that you have a life too.
Good job with the Photoshop colouring. You've coloured it very neatly and used good, suitable colours too. Maybe try shading next time?

I like it like that too, the dark browns and blacks contrast nicely with the bright blue of the background. Her anatomy is pretty near perfect too - the only thing that catches my eye is her right leg (viewer's right) which is maybe shown a little bit too much from the side compared to the rest of her body. Otherwise, it's just perfect.

I'll get your payment to you ingame as soon as I catch you online.
