~nymph~ & Miss Danshai's Art
Hello everyone,
I'm ~nymph~. My friend Miss Danshai and I have been drawing for a while now. We decided that it would be fun to draw some guild wars stuff. Tell us what you think about our work, and we hope you enjoy it! All comments are welcome.
Edit: All of our work so far:
Ritualist
Elementalist
Ranger
Shan/Sanra Painting
Shan
Ranger w/Black Moa Bird
Cynn
Mesmer
Charr
legendary Ace's Mesmer
Commissions:
We are not taking any commissions at this time. Thank you.
Miss Danshai and I have decided to start taking commissions. We will only be taking 5 commissions at a time. It will be 5k for a drawing done in pencil (we both do pencil drawings, you can specify Miss Danshai or ~nymph~, but it is not necessary). Ones done in watercolor will be 10k (note: Miss Danshai does the watercolor). Be sure to include pictures that show all of your armor or state the armor that you are wearing. Also, please don't forget close-up shots of the face and hair so we don't have to play around with the character generator . There will be no background unless specified, and if you really want a specific pose, please say so! Thank you.

Very beautifully done. The detail on the rit's armor is amazing. I like that they are both action-shots too.
Do you have any of your own characters?

yeah their positions are awesome, however the elementalist could have a more interesting face I think... and perhaps the upper leg is a bit too long. The ritualist has an odd nose and mouth.. but Awesome detail!!
Theres a lot of potential in there! keep it up

Those are ANET's created Elementalist and Ritualist, with the Elementalist being Cynn.
None the less, very nicely done on the drawings. Would love to see some original character ones with just as nice detail from the two of you

Thanks for your comments!
Yes, those are ANET chars, but we do have drawings of original characters.

The above drawing is of my current guild leader, drawn in the basic pose mainly for pratice with armor details. I honestly agree with the comment about the faces, i am no great shakes at faces. (However, with some practice i hope to improve on that...) thanks so much for replying. (special hi to mistical miss! nice to see you again.)

armor details are pretty good work on your faces, it helps if u draw a line through the middle, so the face is a bit more symmetric

Face again...and she looks a bit stiff, her right arm (for the viewer) has nothing to do, and though her chest is a bit turned (good!) her legs are still straight (bad).
What can help for drawing faces: Draw a line through the face from top to bottom. "(" shaped in ur last picture. Then u will notice the mouth isn't at the right place.
Keep it going, you only get better by drawing ^^

We know about the faces, we took half a semester of art last year and the teacher taught us that...although i actually hate to admit i know it, because i still can't draw faces! i have like this...face drawing deficency. my hand wont do what my brain wants it to. but then i've been studying anime style characters lately, and my noses (if nothing else) have improved now that i'm using a different style. i'm hoping to improve on the eyes, the eyes are the most important part of a face i think...they give the drawings life if you do it right, and show character. Well, we'll post some more drawings soon.

Take a good look at where you position the mouth aswell. In those drawings I've seen that the mouth is often not right under the nose, but somewhat more to the side. It takes the symmetry out of the face. And once again^^: keep it up!

I am working on your mesmer, should have it done in a couple days or so, which isn't bad, considering i'm doing it all during sixth period while pretending to take notes. it's coming out quite nice actually, and the face turned out really nice.
Okay, here's the unfinished work.

Wow, thats awesome! Can't wait to see the finished!
BTW can you mod her details a bit?
[PS: The finders should be a bit thinner, her stomach needs to indent in more to show form, other than thats its perfect]

I do love your work, it is very nice and I think that you could do commissions and make a bunch in Guild Wars.
Well what I wanna ask is, WILL YOU PLEASE TAKE COMISSIONS?
Lol I would seriously LOVE any of my characters drawn by either on of you, your drawings are fantastic.
I will post my characters if you decide to do commissions.

Okay, well i finished your mesmer Legendary Ace, i just haven't had a chance to scan it yet!! but i will try to post that asap.
Commisions, hmm we could do that. don't know how it would work between the two of us thou, you would either have to specify me or nymph, or else we'll just toss dice or whatever.
okay here it is.

that was me who drew it, i'm glad you like it. we both usually post our own stuff, except in the very first post the rit is mine. but other than that, it holds true that we both post our own drawings.

Hi all, sorry i haven't posted in a while, I've been busy. Well, I'm trying to work on my faces.
Here's the one of Cynn again, I changed the face:
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...nymph/Cynn.jpg
As for this one, the face and arm any better?
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...mph/Mesmer.jpg
And this is one of a Charr:
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...mph/Charr2.jpg
tell me what you think.
hmmm....commissions, not sure how that would work out, mostly Miss Danshai and I work separately, but we occasionally help each other out on the drawings.
