Lots of end of semester projects that need doing. Still working on redoing Lynxius's commission, but the pace is gonna be slow until school ends for me and all this stuff is out of the way.

Whew, finished the drawing. Much more satisfied with this one.
I hope she looks excited enough this time.
Colors should come soon. Still up to my ears in schoolwork though.

The long wait is over! Finally finished lynxius's commission, and it's about damn time.
Wasn't sure how well the aura would work out, so I did it both ways. Hope you like it.
Just to let anyone who's interested know, after I finish the set of commissions that I'm working on now, I'm thinking of putting up a new thread and start doing line drawings fully colored in Photoshop. They'll be more expensive but I'm not sure how much more yet, I'll try to keep it on the lower end to keep it affordable. I'll still be glad to do pen drawings instead for those who can't/don't want to afford a full photoshopped piece.

Sweet bow her face is a bit awkward though and her right breast is too high I think. (thats right for the viewer) I like the pose though and the shading

Not sure what you see wrong with the face, it looks fine to me. But then again I could just be biased since it's my work. The breast was WAY too high before I lowered it, although it's pretty evident where I fixed it. That's just the weakness or working in pen I guess.
Anyhow, here is the finished piece. Tried to get slightly more interesting on the background and give it a bit of texture. Hope you like.
Also figured I would show my entries for the design a weapon contest. They didn't win, but god would I have loved to wield a giant claw...

Whoa...
It's been a while since I checked out this thread. Just wanted to pipe in and say it's looking great!
I'm no artist, but I think you've come a long way since the OP. You started off with a more sterile (although cool) approach, like the first necromancer you posted. What I mean is, it seems like the earlier pieces were more like simple outlines pimped out after they were scanned into the machine.
These newer ones show all the pen scratches and everything, which makes them a lot more organic and interesting to look at. Especially combined with a textured background, they're more satisfying to visually explore.
I think this ranger is one of the best pieces yet. It has the background and the organic pen marks, which is nice. But what I really like is that it's a little more stylized than the others. I love the 'imperfections' pointed out by Mistical Miss. Something about the ranger and her pose/dimensions looks slightly unrealistic (more than your other drawings), and I think that's a great thing. I took one art history course, so I'm a very unqualified art critic. Keeping that in mind, your style in this most recent one reminds me of Harlem Renaissance 'africanism'/'primitivism' and particularly Aaron Douglas (and no... it's not just because the Ranger is black, haha).
I can't find a striking example of his work right now (he did a lot of print-type pieces that remind me of your ranger). Check out his 'Aspects of Negro Life' murals for an idea of his style if you aren't familiar with him.

I like it! There's nothing wrong with her face to me, she does look a little bit "spaced out" on the non-colored version, though.

Hm, maybe it was just the eyes that were making it look wierd then. I changed the positioning of the pupils to be looking at the viewer when I colored it. Strange how much of a difference things like that can make.

Thank you very much!!! It looks great!! I really like it. you are definitely improving and improving!!
I was looking at the eyes after Invertation's comment, and after looking and looking I realized that it just doesn't have any white on the eye ball, I guess that's what makes it look so intense.
I will look for you in game for payment.
