I promise I am working on the art. I spent alot of time this weekend getting in on the in-game event. Yay for finally getting a max azure recurve bow from a chest in Vabbi (nearly perfect sundering, enchantments +20%, and +15%dmg while enchanted).
Anyway, I put up a bit of the picture to track in deviantArt. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/56865947/
Trying a slightly different approach and so far I like the results.

This is also a draft; the final image is adjusted to make the lynx more golden.
All future posts are moved to the new thread in the commissions forum.http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10165146

Good job Starr, I love it. I thought Orson looked very nice white, but he threw such a fit that I had to ask you to color him in the "proper" color. So now, he is satisified.

It was mostly just to add a little red to the picture and to tie the two together. Not to mention if I hadn't put something in their hands, you'd wonder why it looks like they're both holding something. I just thought it was funny, because I'm sure you've had it happen, y'know, fighting a huge bunch of stuff and all you got was some feathers.

I was playing with color a bit on that one. I did the background first just testing different effects. The body shape/motion followed, but I think what made it was the cyan clouds reaching around to the urn. It brought the color from the background forward a bit and made it a little more active. I keep this one as my wallpaper right now. I got teased that I never draw people facing that way and that my figures are never dynamic enough, just portrait poses. The whole thing was a big experiment. But that's why I try to tackle every request that comes at me.

Okay, I haven't updated this in a while, but here are the last four finished works.
tommarrow
Rainbird
Con_Artist
kenichiukiya
My apologies for some mistakes. I did learn a few new things, so hopefully that will continue into future work.

Sweet
Tommarrows ele, love the way you showed the air magic there she looks a bit skinny though and her head a bit erm narrow I think is the right word for that... I like the details on the other hand and her face looks pretty sweet
Rainbird, sweet pose, with anger, with force, background is a bit erm empty though, it could be given a tad bit more attention perhaps ^^
Con artist, Like the deep darkness in the picture! The arm on the right seems to start a bit too low from the shoulder, and the staff looks like its bend..
The window on the left is very mysterious ^^ I like it, but it may have been given a bit more detail so that its not hovering in nothing. (Though that too can have its charms)
Kenichiukiya, nice pose you tried to create The upper part of her body seems to be a bit straight, as opposed to the legs, which have more of a "jump" movement. It now looks a bit to me like her upper body is doing something else than her legs tell she should do... (yeah I'm misty) The spirit is pure awesomeness And erm, I think she could use a background... what is she jumping/flying/doingwhateversheisdoing for?
I love the magic effects you create though
Keep up the good work!
And don't be thrown back because of my words, I'm no better artist than you are (worse actually :P) , and I can be wrong ^^.

Very nice. I especially like the ritualist and elementalist. The colors used on the ritualist go together very well. I like how you have the leaves floating around in the elementalist one. Nice touch which shows how the ele controls the elements.
