25th of April will be a new date when the orders will be accepted again, and it will last for a 2-3 days, then it will be closed again for about two weeks. however before you order your image please read first two posts

well sure... My gig

is basicly this. In my country theres a comic book called Untamed Magic and its very popular. Now some foreigh guys ( I think Germans ) want to invest some money in a animated series and want to buy off all the rights for that comic-series. now my job is basicly to redesign some of allready existing characters and to create a bunch of new secondary characters, vheichles, armors, weapons and some little environments... And basicly thats it... Im spending 8h per day busting my head open to create some unique dudes and I like it... And even if I don't it's a job, and job=income, income=booze&chicks!

Ok...Since lot of you guys PMed me, and sent e mails in which you wanted me to design some assassin's armor, so I heard your plea and here it is. i spent today morning (about hour an half) before my work hours to do this guy... Its very loose, but i really hope that all of you who wanted new assassin look, will like it.

Well, I wanted to bring a little fun in this commission thingies, so I came up with this idea:

From now on, every time the commission period is about to come to an end and a new Order period will start, Ill post a coise on which free image you guys would like to have. Let me explain...
When reopening date is about to begin in 2 or 3 days, I'll post a choice of TWO characters from the game. Usualy it will be one good and one bad dude (or chick

). And all you guys have to do is to vote which one of them would you like to see redesigned!*
To do that you simply have to vote here on forum or send me e-mail at [ [email protected] ] with topic GW art Vote, and include the name of the character which has you vote.

When the voting's done Ill post ressults here on this thread (usualy on First Post) and Ill start drawing that character.
When he/she/it's done Ill upload link here with High Quality image of him/her/it. So that way all of you who voted for that character (and all of you who didnt

) can have a free, high quality image.

I hope you guys will like this idea and that it will slowly take it's flow

Now for the first two characters, i thought to go back in time to original Prophecy campaign and take Prince Rurik and Undead Lich. So those are two guys who will compete themselves, who will be redesigned by me

Hm... I 've always wanted to see a Prince Rurik that didn't look like Freddie Mercury. The Lich looks more or less like I would have pictured him. Rurik... not so much. So, I'll be voting for Rurik when the time comes.

I'll also be looking into getting a piece done by you. Fantastic work!

Yes, I never like the design of Prince Rurik,... so un-princely.... And would surely hope to see it redesign (thought I did make a sketch design of my "prince" befoe too). I like the King thought... maybe make him more like his dad...

Well i realy don't like both of them. Lich has that stupid mexican-spanish accent, and looks like normal bloke with funny helmet on his head, with big horns. Its just funny. But on the other hand Rurik is not any better. His armor totaly needs to be redesigned and I just never felt with that character.
So i think Ill vote for Rurik on this one. Yup, Rurik it is.

Oh btw, great assassian design, I especialy liked thos undelined stickfigures on his shoulder armor. Sweet touch

Well hello again

Ok as you might expected, the Prince is done!

Bare in mind that this image is "heavy" only 250KB! Original is 3MB!! (and unfortunaly imageshack accepts only up to 1.5MB so I'll have to shrink it a little. I'll do that later tonight and I'll post that original huge image. Untill then here's a light version).

Well, to be completly honest I'm glad you have chosen Rurik to be redone, because, in my oppinion (for one of the main characters) he was quite purely designed. Too monothoned, too simple armor for a Prince. So hopefully I've corrected that (too bad it won't be in the game :P

)
As you may see my main focus was on his armor. I've added crown-like circlet around his helmet so that we can understand little better his royal heritage. I also wanted to paint him in a king-like posture, holding his fire dragon sword proudly but casual, and I also wanted to illustrade a lot of self confidance in that posture and facial expression.
As you may noticed in my images I'm completly sucker for a detail. I loooooove painting little details everywhere (and sometimes I get carried away and spent too much time on them), so I tried to go with original flow of his armor (didnt want to change it radicly) just to add lot of simple details that will make it looks little more cool :0

hehe thanx man

. I must say I like your shading a lot. I know how timeconsuming it is to shade characters like that, and how boring and frustrating it can be, but you're still doing it. Niceeee.

Rurik is awesome. I wish that dragon sword was in game, it is much nicer than the one Rurik has. Looking forward to getting a pic from you.
