Well, its been nearly two months and I'm wondering where you stand on your commissions. Are you going to do another round and let us start throwing our money at you again? I'll email you as well since I'm sure you check your RL email more often than this.
Your work is superb! Now I just wish that stick figures was an art and people could start throwing commissions my way.
Keep up the awesome work!

This is a copy/paste of vinegar's entry at the other forum which I will not link to out of respect for this site.
Quote:
hello all,
first of all - i owe you all big apology for being silent for so long. i'm really sorry for that. as you can probably imagine there's been some issues that forced me to stop being active around here. as some of you already know after talking to me, i had an accident lately in which, to make a long story short, i had seriously injured my hands, my neck and my spine. and because of that i was unable to work for some time (not to mention logging to gw, which those of you who keep me on their friendlists probably have noticed too). therefore right now i'm overwhelmed with my commercial work + with two exam sessions (as i'm studying at two universities & writing my master's degree essay this year too), so i have to catch up on with my duties before i can go back to drawing commissions.
okay. now as for commissions - as you can imagine i can't finish it any time soon (i'd say around 2 months would be the time i mean at least), because of more real-life oriented problems. BUT that doesn't mean i won't finish them. you guys got yourself a separate folder in my mailbox and a big list i keep right to my desktop with notes about each commission. even if you didn't get any reply from me in long time, be sure i keep each e-mail i got about commission and eventually will reply to it. now, i can't promise you when exactly i'll be finishing which commission, although there are people on my list who are top priorities because of being first and/or being incredible nice and helpful in many ways (that means especially you Shanaeri of course, also Dana, Severra, Nkah, Sanra, Arala, Josefine, Andreas, Jan, Alex.. you know guys, who you are).
so what's happening now - you can drop me an e-mail if you feel you don't want to wait any longer and i can erase you from the list. if not - i will write to you when i'll be starting work on yours.
i can't say how sorry i am about the whole situation, but frankly as i'm not a teenager since quite some time i have to have other priorities than this and can't manage to put gw commissions in first place i really hope you can understand this and won't get mad..
*edit* one more thing - seems i can't repost it at guru too as i get an error message each time i'm trying to send it. if any of you are registered there and i won't manage to post it there, could some of you post it there too? a direct link to my thread would be this one i think, although i keep getting error everytime i click it: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10077995

Sorry to hear about your accident Vinegar. In no way is anything your fault as to why you aren't following up on your commissions. RL studies and priorities are certainly more important and, after your accident, you've had other things to focus on... not least of all being recovery.
Get well soon and hopefully it'll be a full and swift recovery. If there is anything that can be done I'd be more than happy to help.
Thanks for your message and, again, get better and focus on the important stuff... I know I'll still be here when you're ready.

I love this style of art. Its where the face points one way and eyes the other. Its a optical illusion so that Whereever you are in the room the person in picture will always staring right at you. Gj

Good luck with your Master's, I know from experience that they are a TON TON TON of work. I look forward to the time that you have the leisure to start these up again, after seeing your work I won't have anyone else do my char portrait as I plan on hanging it in my home

You and Foxy are by far the people who I want to draw out my characters here one day soon.
Your art is fantastic, and I am insanely sorry that you've got into a accident. I really hope things do get better and turn around as your art is insanely great!
I will keep an eye on this thread, and know of any posts made

hello! I hope someone around here still remembers me :)
I finished the last commission I earlier promised to Shan, who was just next in line after my last finished one many months ago and who also said she can wait as long as it takes.. it did take HELL much too long, but she claims not to be mad at me :))
Better for the commission, as I did some big progress I have to admit, especially when compared to my older pieces. Shan had a really great patience to watch my monthly wips I've been sending, when I kept repainting everything I painted already, but I really wanted to make it look perfect, especially since she was so kind and helpful to me on those rare occasions I had time to hop into GW again and play (my newest mesmer's protector's title owes to her at least 5 missions I think). Thanks to all DVDF as well - you're great guys!
So here I give you Shanaeri Rynale in a more romantic approach than ever seen before, but with a bit of a more "dangerous" background (at first I wanted to go for a straight romantic garden, but thought it'd be too sweet and not Shan-alike).
here you can see close-up's at 50% (original file is A3, 300dpi size for print)
and for more curious ones, here you can see some steps in progress with some comments too: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...shan_steps.jpg
I hope you'll like it :)
------------------
now as for other commissions.
I no longer, as you can probably guess, have time to finish all other ones, which were meant to be full coloured, big pieces. I said few months ago that I might not be able to do it and here I confirm it. As I already said I have my studies AND my job and recently no time for anything else to be frank.
But I thought if some of you, for some reason, are desperate to get something drawn by me anyway, I can open up for mini commissions this month. Meaning:
I'm willing to take some commissions, types A and B (check the first post here), but for bigger prices, meaning A - 25k, B - 50k, although it will look better than the previews here. The outcome will be big enough for print around A4 size, probably a bit smaller. Some of them might be even coloured a bit underneath a pencil sketch.
Why such ones? Pencil sketches are obviously quicker for me to do and I believe I can manage to finish them (busts and half body sketches) in a reasonable time.
To sum it up - the rules are as they've been, but the prices has changed:
- type A: 25k
- type B: 50k
drop me an e-mail, so I can keep it in my database, I'm not treating PM's at forums as orders, it's too hard for me to keep the track of them.
for people who already commissioned me before
If you can confirm it, drop me an email, I will find you on my list (or if your email has changed tell me what your old one was, so I can confirm you were in the first round, and I deleted no email from you, so I'll know).
As I said I can't finish the big ones you ordered BUT I'm willing to put you on the top of the list (pretty obvious) and you can get type A or B for the OLD prices, meaning 10 and 20k.
I hope it sounds quite fair, even though I'm really sorry I can no longer offer you anything more than this, I'm trying to make up for that a bit (unless you want, like Shan, to wait REALLY long, which I don't recommend that much ;)).

That painting looks absolutely stunning! Definitely one of the most impressive pictures I've seen be posted on this forum. Shan must feel completely delirious with joy after seeing the painting.
I may contact you regarding a commission, if you're okay with me getting a second commission (I got one from you back in november).

Unlucky Slayer: sorry, I've been away for a while. Also, I wanted to update this post, as many people subcribed for it to be notified about updates. Also, I'm using this post only to show commissions done (except for today's status update), meaning artwork only, i talk to people about commissions via e-mail only. Therefore my question is should I start a new topic to post finished artworks in or should I ask someone to move it to commissions section or can I keep posting finished ones in here?
greyf0x: thanks! ^^
Sectus: thanks! Of course, second one is fine ^_^
