Oh you have no idea...
Awesome sketch and I love the finished version too!
By the way... how long does it take you to prep your sketches with transparency etc for the forums, if you don't mind my asking? I just think it's a cool effect.

well, about 2 seconds or so it's a trick I actually kinda 'borrowed' from Nian ( sorry, great idea though )
the sketch was done in photoshop on one layer, and then I just put another layer beneath it which has exactly the same color than the forum background - so actually it's just a special background color instead of white or yellow - no transparency at all
ok, now Nian's gonna kill me for babbling her secret (I only found out by browsing her pictures on other forums )

I was thinking about getting a commission from you (when you have a free opening) and I was thinking of getting a full pencil shade, is this how it would turn out (like the above), or could you make it more black/white?
And would you be able to shade this armor ok? I have pics of my other set (same set) which is dyed white so you can see the detail better for when you are drawing it out.
BTW I know of your commission thread I just wanted to ask you about it here before I get in line for a commission.

Wow, your art style has changed since I got mine done, Morag. I'm gonna have to get in line again - once I get money.

hi everyone, here's the lineart without shading for vilaptca!
I'm sorry I dispensed with the two additional minions in the background, but they are horribly detail-heavy. If you'd really really like to have them, I'm afraid I'd have to charge a little extra, because they take up as much time as the character itself
@jrk247:
as long as I don't close the thread (and I don't think I will in the near future ), you can sign up there when there's a free spot. a B&W shaded drawing is (out of nature of materials used) more black / grey than the one I posted. the sepia effect was added later, it's something I like personally. but you can have what you want, as you pay for it

Ooh, very lovely shading. I really like the contrast between black and white. His pose is very strong and you've done a wonderful job on the detail in his armor. Also, the minion is very cute.
I like peeking into your gallery every now and then, always wonderful to see something new from you.

some silly art for in-between
doodled some o' my characters at work:
Morag Deathspell, my ele and oldest character on my account. she likes explosions. burn something and call it a day.
Kara Skhan, my necromancer. she pretty isn't concerned with anything at all - as long as it lives. likes working together with Morag because of all the nice barbecue
Lil Bit Dangerous - well, she's all about looking daggers at people. literally.
Lizzy Sees U Thru, my monk. went into retirement after anet disabled Shiro'ken farming. and pretty much all kinds of farming. presently gathering a lot of dust
have fun
Edit by Unlucky Slayer: I know the picture size is kinda lax in Nolani, but that one was a bit excessive. - yes, thank you, I realized it was way too big but didn't have time to change it anymore

I hope you can open the list again in August. You do some really vivid artwork. Maybe when college starts back again for me, I'll take a break from commissions for a while and hope you have room on your list for me.
Keep up the awesome art and don't work too hard!
