Okay, I'd like you to draw my monk (if you decide to do comissions, your Varesh is absolutely astounding ^^)
Her name is Jin Fay, a beautiful and quiet girl. She can be a very passive group member from time to time, hence her favorit skills are bonding skills
Okay, what I'd like you to to find in her, is like... uhm.... Let the drawing show why monks have divine favor, let her shine out that... uhm... divine is what divine does (best phrase I could think of xD)
Basicly, put the "divine" in "monk"
I'll put some specifics on what kind of drawing I want according to what your pricing will be when you get that up (if you do (please? ^^))

Well, I must say that I don't agree with this statement. In RL most of designers charge their work much more than any of you guys would give ingame. If Im to say that, most of artist do more than one design for a certain client, and that they are charging both quantity and quality, it's just, something that can't be compared with fan-arting and digital money.
However for artwork of this quality, I would say, dude go with wathever price you want. But just set some minimum, and what you offer with that minimum.
Browse other threads and check, how much others are charging, compare your skills against theirs and set a price.
It's easy as that. Basicly good art would have tocost extra, so... it's up to you.
Now, very nice images! But I just think that Varesh would be foxy as hell if you would erase her eye pupils glow and leave only that black deep staring eyes, with kind of vile sexy look.
And as far as anatomy goes, I mean who really gives a shit?! Some of the best art Ive ever seen are soooo way off the "normal" anathomy, and still they look much better that way.
Anyhow, cheers, and go get fking rich doing commissions here!

I know one thing for sure, if you'd make me a commission on that quality, I'd farm over 200k to get it ^^. It's just that I'm low on money ^^. Prices for good artists can go really high, its just the amount of customers you want to get and the amount of time u want to put into it. If you ask a high price and you plan on working long on an image, you will not have a huuge waiting list, but will most certainly be busy with a commission at all times. Though it may take a week or so before you get your first customer.
I think it won't be that hard to find someone to pay you 500k for a commission of the same quality as the varesh. They just need a bit of time to gather the 500k ^^.
Really if you plan on doing commissions that are this awesome, you should look for high prices. Game money will never be worth as much as real money, but the good thing of these is that you can sell them ingame yet still have the picture yourself ^^.

I know you weren't pricing his art, and just giving an example, it just seemed like a *low* example, and he's soooo good and I would love a commission sooo bad, that I didn't want him to think "30K... oh no, ummm naw I don't want to do commissions" 'cause then I would've been for 2 weeks !!

Well, I'm not sure I agree with that either. For one, if he bases it on what GW gold is sold for........ let's just say that Varesh, Real Life $50 (probably a lot more) would be an average of 400K -based on places that sell gold the cheapest (google GW gold). I don't think there are artists out here on these forums asking for that much. Also, most players would have a hard time coming up with those huge amounts of gold, and there is no way in hell I would risk getting my account banned for buying online gold.
There are some amazingly talented artists here, like Blackgate ( and I mention him because he is one of the latest artists to post)... he first started with 100K, which doesn't seem outrageous given the quality, but it's just hard to come up with those amounts. He lowered to 60K and the commission requests started pouring in; Babaroga... you can't get much more talented than that, yet his prices are just CHEAP. I keep telling him to push em up a notch.
There are many more artists, very talented ones, that have been posting for much longer, and if I start naming, I'll never end So I will just use the last 2 to share their work as examples.
I have zero talent for drawing, and quite often it bugs me when people feel either the artists charge too much, or they go back on their agreement after the picture is done, or they insinuate if the prices are brought down then I'll order because I'm poor.... and I have spoken about it. It takes TIME to draw, and the least that we can do IF we want to have a piece of their talent, is pay a fair price. I don't think to this day I have paid the *agreed* price for any commission, but always more, specially with the artists that I think need to charge more (*coughs* RAVENSONG *coughs*)

I'd like to reserve a spot just to see her price. I am still in a rut in terms of cash, so I'd like to see her set a price first.

I love the perspective and the proportions you did on Palawa Joko, and as Babaroga said the anatomy really doesnt matter, in fact it gives the picture special artistic charm....I love it!

I was the 9th poster but the first to ask about a commision about 2 hours after s/he first posted, so I hope the order will be kept. It's also the first time that I was first in asking!

damn, I don't think I'd be able to afford a commission here, assuming these will be (and rightly so) high-end work and price I think I have two options: starting to waylay ppl in GW to rob them of their money or learn how to do this myself... whatever's easier

Wow! So much requests!! I don't even know if I can get to them all, but I definitely will try (I'm already starting on your's Ryker, cuz Picard says you're "number 1" lol, engage!).
It seems like the price of it is the issue here...but in all honesty, I might just do it for free, otherwise I'll feel like I'm being hassled to reach a deadline... and this little hobby will just turn into another "job". I usually like to take time with my drawings (the Varesh pic took weeks), and usually they're just sketchy quality, the Varesh one just happened to come out kinda nice.
Tips are always appreciated of course, but there is very few things I actually want in-game. Maybe a miniture Gwen, but that is just an insane price to ask of you guys. Other than that, I'm just working on my PKM title, and I don't think gold can solve that problem. I suppose any offer will be just fine.

Art trades?
I must say I was totally "o_O!!" when I first saw your works, and even that happened after I heard Nian gasping and I came over to take a look . Awesome technique and use of perspective and lighting.

Wow, thanks, really. You certainly won't be working for free for me. One thing tho, my ranger you'll be drawing is Christopher Snow Sr with his loyal lynx, Orson. Commander Ryker is my ele. Ryker was the first one I made and I hold a fondness for him, but Christopher is my favorite to play, so that's why I have had him in all pics drawn.
My 2 cents:I think it would be just wrong if someone commissions a drawing and doesn't pay for it. If anyone does get one and doesn't pay, well, I'm just going to quote Gomer Pyle here and say, "shame, shame, shame".
Another quote from the same source (it doesn't apply, I just thought it was just funny): Sgt Carter: Pyle, my old grandmother could do better then that. Gomer:Well bless her heart.
