Hi! :D I've been lurking the Nolani section for a while, eating up all the gorgeous art. So. I figured I should contribute back or something. :B Have some art! Even though it is all really loose and mostly dumb because I suck at finishing anything ever.

(last sketch sucks, lol) My mesmer and main character Cray. She's a complete bitch, it's great. :D Shutting down casters is hilarious and so much fun. Mesmers are 1000% my favourite class. I really hope they stay around for GW2.

Messed around with the mesmer's performer's armour a little to give it a butterfly theme. The mask, mostly. The rest is just me learning how to draw Cray's armor in the first place. :P That sketch down the bottom... white (female) mesmer armour + paragon wings? Awesome.

O hay, something that's not my mesmer? :0 In fact this is my adorable monk Sama Bean who I'm trying to make the cutest character ever. Working towards light pink (no idea how I'm going to mix the dye for that though?) elite kurzick armour, pink flowery lotus staff and sweettooth title track. (haha, that sketch on the right! That was back when I was considering making her really petty or something. So much for that!)

I've been trying to do more coloured and finished work but this one's been sitting on my desk half inked for months. :/ Oh well, I'll get back to it soon hopefully. :B

The one with the scarf tied around its head is meant to be a ritualist. :P I really like the Tengu. I hope they'll be a playable race eventually! Even if it's not until an expansion or something. Also: I am so sad I missed Tengu Day. :(

Hahaha, Charr elementalists? THEY WILL BURN OUT YOUR EYES (without ever actually applying the fire). xD I'm super looking forward to playable charr BUT, god, if paragons are still around there will be charr paragons everywhere. :|

Despite what this drawing might imply, I am not yet sold on the Sylvari. The Sylvari backstory? Ventari? AWESOME. The Sylvari themselves? Eeehh, they are basically just wood elves, y/n? I'm getting kind of tired of elves in all fantasy ever. I like some of the ideas the sylvari bring to the table though and fern-hair would be kind of cool so we'll see. I have much faith in the GW art team. :) (PS. Can sylvari blush? I mean, they would have sort of plant anatomy and therefore no blood to blush WITH, right? But oakhearts can bleed so... I'm probably overthinking this.)

Who is looking forward to Wintersday? :D I sure am! Oh man, I hope the new Grenth hat is horns of some sort! I really want me some Grenth horns. This picture makes it pretty clear that Cray is the only one whose armour I bother to draw properly, haha. Oh, and that mesmer dude singing about All Hallow's when he actually means Wintersday (because I forgot what we call it. Worst gw fan ever, I know :<) is my boyfriend's character Mysterio who I imagine to be the kind of character that frequently breaks the fourth wall. *nerd*

Ugh, making this post makes me realise that I need to draw more gw art. Currently I'm planning a lot of finished GW art: Halloween 2007, one for each of the 5 True Gods (really looking forward to it) and some guild stuff. :D I just sent off an entry to the Wintersday hat competition so that's a good start, amirite? :D

Aaand to anyone interested: I have a lot of non-gw art on my Devart page and I have a reeeasonably frequently updated sketchblog over at LJ. Some of that stuff is actually finished/coloured. :|

I'm pretty big on filling up the page to the brim. Probably from back in the day when I had to save all the computer paper to draw on the back. Every bit was preeccciiooouussss~

Unless its a female charr... and they don't exist until Guild Wars 2 I think.

Great sketches! I like the way you draw faces, they show a good deal of personality.

Just beware of the art wh0res lurking around, you might find yourself pounced and forced to do commissions at gunpoint.

I guess it looks easy because I don't bother to painstakingly correct stray lines and stuff... Much easier that way! After all, if something ever makes it to the inking stage, all those gray pencil lines are going to disappear anyway!

Sectus: Thanks, I'm always trying to portray the different personalities and stories of individual characters with their expressions and gestures.

Still working at it, getting better!

No Art wh0res seem to have stumbled this way thus far so maybe I'm safe? ;P I wouldn't mind doing commisions, really, once my trades are done (money ftw!).
