This is just something I drafted into the text box. Spur-of-the-moment poetry, as I rarely rhyme in my work.
Feeling jaded
Fortune faded
Life debated in your sorrow.
Pain always passes
But to the masses
It feels as endless as tomorrow.
Weightless, floating
There is no voting
Still, your opinions they may borrow.
Time was alotted
Your mind has rotted
No turning back before
Awaken.

To TheRabbitLord:
I've got two words for you: Back. Off. Storm did write the poem herself, I was with her when she wrote the first two stanzas at school during lunch. And another thing: I would also like to know exactly when this magazime issue came out. Did it come out recently within the year of '06?
And another thing: I'd quit right were I was if I were you. I can hardly tolerate reading your foolish chat talk. Being me, that symbolizes an uunserious person who just wishes to upset others. Let me tell you, you're not doing a very good job of it. I'm backing Storm Crow up on this one, considering she wrote the first two stanzas to the poem right in front of me at school. I have seen this picture that mused her into writing it as well. I myself am also a poem writer and I got the exact same notion from it that Storm did. So back off and stop failing miserably at upsetting senior members.

YAY! Kitty!
See there, Mr. Rabbit? Someone who knows me PERSONALLY backing me up on my own notion that you, in fact, suck at flaming and that you are an idiot by telling me my poem is plagorized. HA.

Works for me, so here's a poem that I just finished writing and I've spent the past couple of months writing. The last stanza, is however credited to Storm Crow. She wrote it and demanded that it be the last one. So here it is, 36 stanzas in all it's glory:
Memoirs of The Sadistic--
Tip of the blade,
I smell your fear,
Don't be afraid,
Your life ends here,
Splattered blood,
A beautiful sight,
An evil deed done,
In the black of night,
These are the memoirs,
Of someone sadistic,
Telling a life,
Of someone jaded,
Forget all the movies,
You've ever seen,
And open your eyes,
To true obscurities,
Take in what was,
Once dreams,
And slowly realize,
It's not what it seems,
Allow the voices,
To swarm your head,
And slowly forget,
All things once said,
Open your eyes,
To the horrid truth,
Scream in fear,
There is naugh to do,
Spill of crimson,
Leaking out,
Do what you want,
Continue to scream and shout,
I like the way,
The blood rains,
It makes you scream,
In terror and pain,
Drops of blood,
On my face,
Terrible memories,
You cannot erase,
Covered in blood,
A single white rose,
True horrors of the world,
It all but shows,
Come to me,
I becon you here,
Shed for me,
A crystaline tear,
These are the memoirs,
Of someone sadistic,
Telling the tale of someone,
Whose life is all but jurisdiction,
There are many others,
Just like me,
This I am sure,
You will soon see,
Together we live,
Without fear of reprisal,
The pain we cause,
Does but surprise all,
Together we stand,
At your pain we laugh,
Together we play,
Our boredom will soon pass,
Together we'll always be,
This I'm sure you know,
Considering the fact,
You've nowhere to go,
He calls out your name,
"i know where you are,"
Ring the words,
Or our leader, Saar,
It will be over soon,
The words of a liar,
Who happens to be,
My sister Anelaiya,
"The pooling of blood,
Is truly exotic,
The way you scream,
I find it erotic,"
In the shadows,
The deepest depths,
He tortures them all,
No sign of regrets,
Scream for us,
You can take it no longer,
And within every second,
We seem to be stronger,
You're fading away,
Loosing all signs of life,
The pain you've felt,
Brought your soul strife,
The lash on your arm,
Is turning brown,
Your body is almost empty,
In your own blood you'll drown,
Tales of the sadictic,
You realize are true,
Your last moments,
Your body askew,
You feel weak,
The blood is bitter,
Vision disappearing,
The seconds are thicker,
It hurts to move,
Our task is done,
Soon we will,
Move onto another one,
I step forward,
"Leave us alone,"
They turn around,
Their backs to you are shown,
I kneel beside you,
And lift your head,
In your ear,
I whisper things not said,
"The end is near,
Close your eyes,
No words spoken,
Here you die,"
My words are like poison,
They eat away,
At your soul,
Today's the day,
To the floor,
You fall,
Lifeless,
Ending it all,
I stand next to you,
And kick you in the side,
A lifeless body,
Satisfying no more desires,
To rid the carcass,
They come back in,
And rid all evidence,
Of that secret sin,
These are sadistic memoirs,
Of people with naught to feel,
Other than pleasure,
The one secret steal,
Together we stand,
Together we fall,
Memoirs of the Sadistic,
To us the blood calls...

Ha. Try this. Currently untitled, though I'm sure I'll have something to call it eventually...
We don't know what we've been told, we'll beat your ass 'till we grow old.
You think that we dress skimpy now, just wait 'till there's blood on your brow.
Death waits for you at every turn, to take you to unending burn.
So lock your kids up nice and tight, lest we take them by dead of night.
Be ready now, at morning's light, for for your lives you'll have to fight.
Now, we ask, what did you learn? The hand of Grenth is what you earn.
Dwayna's light can't save you now, so dry your eyes, and wipe your brow.
The Mists are dank and very cold. This is your life, care to fold?

Well, nice to see that this thread has died in my absence! I am no longer banned, hehe, and I've got a whole...less than an hour. Missed you guys too, one more than others and he knows who he is. Gonna check things out around the block. In case I don't get back again, Merry Christmahannukwanzika, and Happy New Years!
P.S.: Nice to see Guru has a new look!

Take up the warrior's honor
Bring forth all you've got
Dread not violence, pain, nor bloodshed
Remember the dangers you have fought

Death I fear you not

Again, nice to see my thread has died! Hopefully it'll be ressurected in the near future by a poem-writing Monk...but, in the time being, I have a couple stanzas that popped into my head a few nights ago while trying to fall asleep:
I know your job is hard,
I know it's tough out there,
But please, just don't give up on us,
There are those who still care,
There are those who beam with pride
Each time they see that bold flag fly,
And there are those it overwhelms,
Who just break down and cry,
There are those who know the cost,
There are those who know too well,
There are those who've had a family,
Before their loved ones fell,
There are men and women fighting,
To keep our homeland free,
And there are some unlucky few,
Who won't get back to see,
The haven they've created,
Through the months they spent at war,
I think that those few who die,
Don't deserve the title "Hero" more,
My patriotism flaring up again. For some reason thinking of the troops who weren't home for the holidays. Belated "Merry Christmahannukwanzika!" and Happy New Year, everyone!

School Is Not So Cool
School, School, School,
A school is not so cool
We're here 5 days a week
8 hours a day.
School, School, School,
A school is not so cool.
People laugh when we fall
we just have to make a call.
School, School, School
A school is not so cool.
We have to work hard to get good grades
I'm not going to do it no more
I do it everyday.
We cant go on the grass
We cant bother another class
We cant save spots at lunch
We have to go as a bunch.
We have 3 minutes in the hall
I'm always late what a ball.
We have to pay attention
if not we get detention.
School, School, School,
A school is not so cool.
They have to many rules
they play us as fools
if we get A's
the parents jump Hip Hip Hooray.
If we get F's
we tell them we need to take a rest.
We always have homework
we never have classwork
they have to many rules
they need to take it cool.
School, School, School,
A school is so not cool! !
That poem says it all right?
P.S. Sorry that I haven't been on in a while. Its because of High School and all of the homework I have gotten.

I have been working on this one for a while and decided to post it.
This is my first poem for something like this so if you think its great/ok/bad then comment it and I'll work on that certain part. And now presenting my FIRST narrative free verse poem
The Return
He traveled to seek wisdom
He traveled to tell stories
He traveled to fight battles
He traveled to find power
He read all knowledge
His stories were renowned
He bested many foes
That power had gave him
He had all knowledge
His stories legends
Soldiers feared him
At the sight of his power
Power corrupted his knowledge
As well as his stories
Soldiers laughed at his stories
Power had taken hold
All of his knowledge, gone
All of his stories, gone
All of his battles, gone
Even his power was gone
Thus he headed home
To meet with old friends
He trekked onwards
Seeking a welcome
Stopping for nothing
He walked for days
Stopping not for rest
But because his body was broken
As he arrived weary
He shouted quite loudly
“Alicia and everyone else!
I have returned!”

Well...good first shot, Eric, but, your flow and rhythm could use work.
Take this for example, from Forgotten:
...The breaking of spirit, at the coming of age,
Forgetting the sacrifice of Alicia the mage...
The rhythm is this ( (-) means an unstressed syllable, (/) means a stressed syllable):
...(-)(/)(/)(-)(/)(/)(-)(-)(/)(/)(-)(/)
(/)(-)(-)(-)(/)(/)(/)(-)(/)(-)(-)(-)(/)...
While yours is like this:
...Power corrupted his knowledge
As well as his stories
Soldiers laughed at his stories
Power had taken hold...
...(/)(-)(/)(/)(/)(-)(/)(/)
(-)(-)(-)(-)(/)(-)
(/)(-)(/)(-)(-)(/)(-)
(/)(-)(-)(-)(-)(-)...
Do you see how the first rhythm is even? Both of the lines repeat oppositely. That is to say that the first half of the line is the opposite of the second half. Just try saying your poem out loud or tapping your pencil to the syllables as you read it, and it'll help get your rhythm set straight.

I have no idea what you said Alicia I'll have to take a look at it...and I'm confused about the stressed syllables thing. Should have paid attention in english class some more. I'll look over it later to see what I can do
...
And Link...May God protect you...

Wintersday Poem
These are really ArenaNet's and not mine, but it should go here as a Wintersday tribute.
Wintersday 2006
Wintersday approaches, can you see all the signs?
The grenchies and snowmen will all soon align.
For a battle in the end is what we shall face;
To determine the wintery fate of the whole human race.
Dwayna and Grenth will vie for our favor;
Through threats and presents of wintergreen flavor.
In the end, one shall win, one shall surely prevail;
And the length of winter is the final detail.
So stock up on snowballs, and clear all your packs;
For gifts of all sorts will rain down on your backs.
And if you should see a small urchin or three;
Remember the spirit of the season-Tis' better to give than to revieve.
Wintersday 2005
On the twelfth moon of Wintersday, ArenaNet gave to me...
Blessings from Dwayna
Festive decorations
One mighty snowman
Weapons make of candy
Gifts that might kill you
Snow-covered henchmen
New winter monsters
Some really long quests
Lots of drinking Dwarves
Gingerbread Shields
Curses from Grenth
And a new way to watch PvP!!
