Here's mine (finally):
Gui Qiang's parents run the Shing Jea Arena, and she grew up admiring the Mesmers and their glamorous dress. While she eventually became a Necromancer and devout follower of Grenth, she maintains a deep love of Mesmers' elegant attire (and is especially obsessed with Elite Kurzick armor, which is in vogue among the members of Lucid Spirits). As such, she empathizes with Eleni's desire for traditional Kurzick clothes, so of course they would spend an evening trying out clothes.
Sorry this is so late and is kind of grainy - the scanner didn't read the colored pencil well. Other than that I think it's a personal best, yay!

Crazy Awesome Rewards Guys! I wish I had an artist skill of any kind! I can't wait to see all the finish pieces of art work! With so much at steak you are really going to bring out the best talent! Can not wait to see the gallery of entries. Forgive me if I over looked this but are they going to be posted on a website or on guru?
~Cheers

I saw your mesmer in the screenshot thread, we almost had twins, it came down to that same hair and skin tone or the one I ended up choosing. The final factor was I wasn't sure if the NF hair would clip with the Asura glasses.
Which, rather smoothly, leads on to saying I love how you pictured the Asura armour on your mesmer, makes me wish the in-game armour looked that good.
Qing Guang, my little necro would agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment, especially on the choice of dress. Really like how you've captured the Kurz elite.

The hair most likely would have clipped with the glasses, unfortunately. And that platinum blond hair matched with the dark skin looks great on my Mesmer. I haven't seen an actual screen shot of your mesmer yet, but I bet she looks amazing!
And I also wish the Asuran armor was as smooth looking at I painted it. I hate that part around the hips that protrudes out.

Thanks! And I'm glad someone else out there has got a necro that doesn't just want to wear leather and metal all the time. Basically when I made her, I wanted her to be a kind of "walking oxymoron" - she's a necro, but she's cheery and likes bright, sunny days; she raises the undead, but loves cute, furry animals; she cares about anyone and everyone, but will kill (sometimes with pleasure) if it's necessary (or occasionally not-so-necessary, if it's a Luxon); she practices two professions that generally both wear tight-fitting clothes that don't get in the way, but she likes to dress up in ruffles and lace. The hyperness and sugar addiction I threw in for good measure - I was inspired a lot by Momiji from Fruits Basket, initially.
So yeah, I'm hoping ANet will make other profession's armor arts available at double platinum cost and no AL, just for show.

Same here! I've been checking the page every day... good to know now roughly how much longer there is.
Also, thanks for offering an even bigger reward. The first one was already huge by my standards... you are certainly generous patrons! Makes me feel like an actual portrait artist, hehe.
Out of curiosity, will the crazy-good people like Morag D (love your picture, btw, the Art Nouveau style is gorgeous) who did both mesmers and their character still get +50k to their reward?

We loved all the entries and felt some drawings with 2 characters were equally very cool, so we fixed the rewards and buffed them up a bit so they would be the same irrespective of how many characters are drawn.
Will be posting winners hopefully within 24 hours from now

You should probably take a bow at this point, Morag.

I've never seen prizes go up after a deadline. Very generous indeed.
Good luck to everyone, though I'm sure we all have our own ideas who is going to take the top prizes. Are we having a big get together for the winners to collect their prizes or are we just going to collect them when time permits?
