I thought mesmers would love teasers.
Here's another teaser.
It's pretty much finished under there, but I might need to adjust some things once I've taken a break from looking at it for a while. The final resolution will be 1440x900.

Hey, I deserve a present once in a while And so I decided to offer me a comission for the contest lol! Hope you like it and that it encourages you!
P.S Please forgive the annoying lines and the poor editing, I worked on it at school and my scanner is broken so I have to use a hideous one!

Nice job on the hybrid dress. If I wasn't so close to finishing the pic, I'd have made those modifications...but alas, you'll just have to deal with a big, full dress
Don't worry, the Kurzick dress looks good on you.

well, I think I'm gonna commit myself to a submission now (even though tiny things might still be tweaked, but I doubt it as I can't really afford to spend any more time on this )
Dream Haunt, Eleni and Eryn in a somewhat retro-depiction (Art Nouveau influences) which shows them weaving spells in order to enchant and seduce handsome guys...
Edit: link to larger res version: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...esses2copy.jpg
Enjoy

Stunning work morag ! Never expected such a different style ! One thing I absolutely love abt this is the colors u used - I could have never imagined such beautiful colors. And I love the way u draw lips, hands and hair. And Eryn looks so beautiful ! This is a very refreshing change from the usual art styles I see and very very pretty Thanks ! *puts it as desktop wallpaper*
This picture just oozes style... the poses, the expressions, the background... stylish, sleek and very classy
And it actually smells as good as it looks maybe cos of the flowers...

Morag - I love the art nouveau style. I notice the colors are a little muted compared to the samples you posted before, and I think you did the right thing there in keeping with the genre. The peachy yellow and orange working with the mauves look great with these ladies. Awesome overlapping spell effect and beautiful lilies.
I suppose I should stop tormenting our hosts as well. I am glad I took some time to step back and let the picture become new again, because I caught myself on a few 'omg wtf!?' spots that I never noticed before. But, finally, I think it's ready.

omg ! not on the same day as Morag !! A man can only take so much beauty in a day
Absolutely awesome ! Where to start ?... There's so much to say here. The wine, the candlelights, the crystal, the moon peeking thru the window, the plants, the food.... this is like a scene from a movie ! So atmospheric it makes me wonder what the story behind the drawing is And the facial expressions are so beautifully done, it makes one wonder what caught their eye I love the accuracy, you actually made them look like our characters and I'm pretty sure u've done the same for the handsome derv too This looks like a very shiny, polished, beautiful scene from a fantasy
Thanks Starr ! This is much better than what I've been imagining

Ok. The quality of the entries so far deserves this. Small buff to prizes. 1st prize will get +5 ectos, 2nd prize +4 ectos, 3rd prize +3 ectos, 4th prize +2 ectos and 5th prize +1 ectos.
I might add more money when I get more depending on interest. Have fun and good luck

awesome entry, Starr, you really did these ladies (and your hot derv ) justice! as I said on DA, perfect execution in every tiny deail, and the mood is very nice.
thx everyone for the nice comments.
@ hosts: the full-res of my entry is huge, so it might be best to just email it. Let me know if you want the Photoshop file with adjustable background as well (the Guru brown is mainly for presentation purposes... if you don't have PS, you can order any background colour and I'll happily do it)! If you'd like to pm me with your contact details, I can forward it directly to you both.
cheers

Ok so let me put this straight.... We are going to face a biiig problem at choosing winners if the quality is as good as these! =P As for Morag and Starr........AWESOME WORK!!!!!!! Morag - Fantastic main idea as well as colors. I've loved pinkish/light hues only two times in my life...This is the second! =) =P After all the job of an artist is making everything look beautiful^^ Anyway I'd say your way of depicting this retrostyle looks fantastic and imo very unique! That's very appreaciated in the contest.
Starr - Stunning artwork and I will agree with my friend Cozmic in many parts. The facial expressions really amazed me along with the proportion...and the dress (this dress must become mine ingame and irl! NOW!). Oh, and that hot half-naked dervish behind me! =) Lol, anyway thank you for the time you offered for this contest. Your artworks are really appreciated... People! Come on! Show us your artworks! Goose luck to all of you my darknesses. =P
