Hi ikarop, yes sorry I got your mail I should have replied to you directly as well as posting here. My apologies, I get quite a few mails a day and I tend to forget them if they sink too low, I have the memory retention of a sea bass. I'm going to keep this thread as up to date as possible now I've got some momentum going again, and will keep everyone aware of where I'm at.
Ok, another update on Moral's necro.
Changes:
Reduced the head size a smidge and moved it over which affected some of the armour around the shoulder area (most of it is out of sight though).
Repainted the skull and made it translucent, so you can make out her arm behind it. Also added more detail.
Changed the soft glow on her face to bolder strokes. I wasn't happy with the way her eyes were becoming too indistinct.
Added all reamining detail to the armour.
Going to start polishing up that background. It will probably not be as brown as this in the final image, it's just a blocked out base for me to work on.
Small full image:
Close up detail, roughly 70% of original size (full-size image is pretty big but is a lot higher than screen res deliberately).
[edit] ah.. crap, just noticed the detail wingy bit isn't painted in properly on the arm behind the skull. Dangit.

Thanks, doesn't always work in my favour when I have a lot of work on though...
Ok, seeing as I can't sleep I've knocked up a v. rough first blast on Racthoh's warrior. From a bit of wiki-ing I'm pretty sure those are Deldrimor gloves.
Not keen on the sword angle, will fiddle with that a bit more. Think the arm could do with dropping a bit so it's not obscuring part of his face and bring the angle up a bit. Not too sure..
Background has a few corpses and battered flags in for that extra "I win!" feel, lots of mist, and bleak grass / small fires etc... mountains behind the mist. I've done it in 16:9 format as it feels right for a battlefield.
Needs more dead people though methinks.
Forgive the roughness. Just trying to get a feel for it at the moment, it's a digital sketch... hence the blocked out greys.

Nice, but I think the sword is held back a bit too far

Okay.. provisionally finished on the necro now. I'll pm Moral55 with a link to a hires version and see it it passes muster.
Figure hasn't changed, but I completely changed the background. Still using the Isle of the Dead as a starting point, but it's a loose translation as I wanted the perspective to be a little more extreme. Also rendering the window as highly lit as the real hall would mean you wouldn't see her properly from that angle.. so I've taken a bit of artistic license with that.
Racthoh, I'm working on a tidier version of the line drawing, and I've changed the angle of the sword, it's closer to the same angle as the one in Rugal's painting now. Though I want it to be more realistic.. I doubt a skinny necro would be able to perch a fellblade over his shoulders quite so easily.
I'll go through the list as well and update stuff.

Thanks Looking forward to getting to yours, should be pretty epic!
Ok, I've edited the first post to update the list... I've included people who have expressed an interest but I haven't responded to because I was absent for so long. So my apologies to those people, and I have put (maybe) next to your names, and added them in the order you posted. If you don't want anything then let me me know and I'll remove them.
I've also closed commissions after the last name for the time being as I want to catch up with it all. At a rough guess I'd say it probably took me about 2 full days to do the last one, scattered over a bunch of snatched evenings and finished it off today. So it's gonna be a good while before I get to the bottom of the list, as is.

How much would that cost? And how long do you think it will be? A week or so? More?
Screenshots later, when I get home from work and get to check my vault.

Hi malko, yes I can do that no problem. In all honesty the bottom half of a body almost always takes the longest for me as I'm forever buggering about getting the legs right...
I think 40k would be about right, it's slightly less than a B&W full body with no background. I think that would reflect time spent pretty well. As far as when it will be... I'm not really sure to be honest. There's a lot on the list and it could be a while yet before I can get to it.
Ok, gonna go get drunk now.

Back again.
Got a new drawing for Racthoh. I wasn't happy with it and decided to can the figure and start again. Much happier with this one. He's quite beefy... but the warriors do seem that way. I probably made his feet a little bigger as FoW makes male wars look like they have really small feet....
Wide angle
Close-up
Hope you don't mind him resting his leg on that conveniently placed corpse.

Nice pieces of art once again! great improvement with the necro's background. Much more perspective now ^^
And the warrior is definately better. The first one looked like he was scratching his cheek with his sword pommel xD
awsome!

A little sneak peak for Yakusa. I haven't drawn the rest in detail properly yet, but I thought I'd post it so you know I am on the case.

Saraphim, absolutely gorgeous work. Most of the stuff that I do is handdrawn and scanned, as my primary income isn't from artwork (freelancer on the side, so to speak), so a digipad is out of the question for cost vs. usage.
The stuff on your site is great fun to troll thru, I love seeing the sketchwork, as that is how most of my finished pieces turn out (I like draft lines... I'm weird like that) unless I get a client that needs complete and total stark when it comes to the finished product!
Lyssa's luck in finishing this load of commish-work!

Thanks I'm gonna need that luck.
Ok, this week was a bit bonkers as one of my contractors were going Alpha on Friday just gone so I never got much of a chance to do anything since I last posted till about 2 hours ago. Plus my hubby gave me a stinky cold.
I have a full sketch up for Yakusa now. She was in a completely different pose below the waist which is why it's a bit scibbly. I came back to it tonight and decided to go with something different.
Background is meant to be the Jade Sea, with bodies / smoking remains and a big ol' dead siege turtle off to the back.. petrified outcrops etc. She's standing at the 'crest of a wave', having just walked up it.
I just noticed, I need to push her sword arm back a little, it doesn't match her stance as well now.
I was hoping to get one paint finished and start on Yakusa's paint this weekend but work and my cold got in the way a bit.
Will update again soon, probably the next couple of days.
Got to go and get some screenies now.
