Hey Trueflight! Love your comissions-they rock!
Got a nice little request for you here,may be a little challenging but the way everyone's going at me I need to get it sorted-lol.This comission is for the GWVM Group,you may have heard of them,you may have not.I'll try to make the requests as easy as possible.

Note: Chole always keeps her mask on, so remember that. She's wearing Leather Armor dyed blue, but the mask is dyed black.

Note: I didn't make these links for a reason, Tender is in her wintersday armor and she may want to use a diff one,if she's ok with the wintersday armor I'll post what she's wearing and make the above into links.If she's not ok with it she'll post underneath somewhere
Shorty Got Spellz:

Ky, Tidus wears the Vabbian chest, rest is (I think) Norn. He at least has Norn leggings and boots. He usually doesn't wear Dragon Gauntlets, and I don't know what he usually wears.
-waits patiently for Trueflight to return to his artistic demands and get my ritualist done *in either the third go as decided before, or the first, both fit well now that I think about it.*-

Hello all! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, et cetera.
Sorry I took so long to get back to you - I've been jetlagged for the past few days. However, I should be back on track pretty soon. The good news is that I now have a tablet, so my art should improve. However, it may take a while to get used to, so if any pictures I do look...experimental, that's why. I will also be getting Photoshop Elements 7 within a week.
@YunSooJin
Does she really look like a man? Fair enough, I thought I did rather well on this one. What do you mean by "softening" the face?
@Valeria
Thank you! Let me know what you'd like, and I'll add you to the formidably large list.
@Kylanf
...Wow. I can't say I've heard of GWVM - are they/you a guild, or just a group of friends? Admittedly, I recognise some of the names from a few machinimas. Are you asking for a long list of separate sketches, or a group portrait, or what?
@Konig Des Todes
Getting back to work tonight, sir. ^^ I did some work on the bookshelf whilst I was away, but I'll put some more effort in now I'm back and de-jetlagged.

The chin outline is a bit rough. That is what I saw wrong at least.

I can answer these questions. First, GWVM. (Yes, I am a part of it, but Ky only wants the famous ones on there :'()Second, Ky wants a group portrait (she requested the same thing with Em Jay).

not a Guild, no. We're a big group of friends making Guild Wars vids. I want a group portrait as I think that'll be easier to do than all of them separate. Like I said I can't really clarify Tidus' armor apart from the Vabbian chest. So I'll let you know on that one

Interesting concept! I'll have to get some more info from you closer to the time - at the rate I'm going, that may be a few months.
@Kylanf
Sounds interesting...I'll happily give it a shot, but the last group picture I tried was an anatomical nightmare. I'm not saying no, but I'm warning you that it may not be my best work - it'll either challenge me into improving, or be too challenging to do well. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
@Konig
I expect you're likely wondering what's happened to your picture, neh? Just an update - I am working on it daily, but I am without access to a scanner until the 26th (I came home for Christmas and left my computer at university). Therefore, I won't have anything to show for my time until then, and the finished picture may not be available until early february.
I do have a question, by the way - what do you want for the background beyond the spirit and bookcase? More bookcases, a bare wall, blurry lights (a cheap shot, but workable - and it would keep the attention of the viewer on the foreground), et cetera? And for that matter, any preference on lighting? I was thinking a nighttime scene might work, and would give me some fun light sources to play with, but it's your choice.

Was indeed wondering what's been happening with it. And I leave it up to you on what to do. Your original idea (sitting Rit) was good (just not what I was looking at originally), so I trust you to make a good picture. I'm sure I'll get my e-money's worth either way.

Hi TrueFlight! This is in response to kylanf's post above. If you are making the GWVM commission, could you please use this pic of my char (Tender Wolf) instead?
My char wears this 98% of the time and I didn't really like the hat I was wearing during Wintersday, I just needed it for the outfit. rofl Thanks!

Alright Konig - here's the final sketch before I start inking it. The face is a placeholder - as I ink it with my tablet (finally, a chance to play with it), I'll add detail and a better expression including yes, pupils. ^^
Hey all,
As is probably evident, I have not had time for art recently - university and personal life are getting on top of me. So this is simply an announcement that my commissions are on hiatus until I can resolve my family problems and get back on top of uni.
Sorry,
~Alex
Greetings all,
Just to let you know, I've got back to work on my art, including my commissions. I finished a quick sketch-and-photoshop for a guildmate; and I'm chugging along with Konig's Ritualist commission.
The going is slow, I'm afraid - I recently got photoshop and a tablet, two very powerful but somewhat disorientating tools for one used to just using pencils and paintshop pro. I eagerly jumped into linearting the ritualist picture, and only realised after I'd spent about three hours on the face that this would be a rather long piece.
The good news is, I'm improving and picking up speed (and skill, I think. The spirit is notably better inked than the ritualist, at least in my opinion), so God-willing, this should be done relatively soon. Or at least, the lineart will:
Sorry this is taking so long, and @my other commissioners, I'll get started soon and catch up, hopefully.
~Alex
Note: The red lines will not actually be a part of the final thing - they are just guidelines on a separate layer as to where the body-paint / tattoos go.
Oh, and as an additional sidenote - does anyone know a way to contact "Lector G?" He requested a commission, but hasn't logged into guru for nearly four months, and I've never seen him online. I've cancelled/put his commission to the back of the queue, but I'd still like to do his picture, as I've already started the sketch and it feels like a waste.
A progress report:

Thank you.
The lineart is all but finished:
(ignore the fact it says "Tyrian" in the top-left. That was a note to myself as to what runes to use on which shelf, and I forgot to get rid of that bit. ^^ Besides, you should be able to tell which symbols are what, if my calligraphy skills are any good.)
Before I go onto colouring, a few questions -
- is the lineart as it stands okay? Anything you want added, removed or edited, now's the time to say.
- is there a colouring style you'd like me to attempt, or just go with the good old burn+dodge combo that I'm used to?
~Alex
PS: I've had a few ideas for your assassin piece, despite the fact it's still a good ways off. I'm considering using this pose as soon as I've got the permission of the stock provider, if that's okay?

I see nothing wrong with the lineart. Colouring style - what you want. Assassin piece - that's actually nearly exactly what I had in mind for pose o_o.

...*slinks back in with proverbial tail between legs*
Hello all.
Apologies for being AWOL for so long...again, I simply have not had the time, but moreover, the willpower to settle down and colour in Konig's piece. I think I bit off somewhat more than I could chew by sketching such a complicated background, with no aforethought about how bloody hard it would be to colour. And while I feel bad about all but giving up on this piece, I'd feel even worse about starting work on others with that unfinished.
As a result, I haven't sketched or coloured anything in nearly two months. As a result, I think it's high time I made it official and closed this commission thread - while I think I could do other pieces at a reasonable speed and quality, I cannot do so in good conscience with this piece unfinished.
So to sum up, my commissions are on an indefinite hiatus. I may, at some point in the distant future, muster the willpower to colour this piece, and then maybe resume commissions, although I'll probably wipe the backlog and make sure in future I restrict myself to a list of about 2-3 to avoid disappointing too many people.
Needless to say, Konig - if I ever do finish this, it will be free. Maybe with me paying *you* as consolation for the abhorrent delay. :P
