file format? I usually use .jpeg files. Include layers if you want.

Okay, sent you a PM with a link to it at it's proper size, in jpeg format. The downside of .jpegs is that they can't have layers - so if you'd planned on editing this, it may be hard.
Anyways, glad you like it.

Totally forgot about this thread. Looks like you've been making a way ffor yourself. As for a price list, looks like you've got that down too. I guess my commission requests can wait, at least until you clear some of your current ones.
Wouldn't want you to feel pressured.

Pff, pressure's good for me. Encourages me to work hard. ^^ Besides, I've only got three...commissioners? Patrons? Customers? Whatevers lined up - and Azazel's got his first one done, so he should be sated for a bit. Also, I tend to flit about quite a bit - if a concept interests me, I'll draw my idea before I forget it. Thus, I already have the lineart pretty much done for Chicken's commission, wheras I'm struggling to think of a pose for Shenanigan's (Don't worry Shenanigan - I will think of something). So in short, throw any requests you like at me, and I'll put you on the list.
Oh, and a footnote to any would-be customers/patrons/commissioners/etc - I have been informed that anime is a poor and uncreative style. I'm sorry to inform you that it's the only style I know, so any and all pictures will be in said uncreative and same-y style. My apologies.

You should probably change the title of this topic to "Bestian's commissions" or something of the sort, now that you've got requests

Got the PM, and I should learn a bit about file types. -no where near a computer wiz- I'll be editing it myself a tiny tiny tad but I can deal without layers.
And yes, I am sated for a while (also, can you move my Necromancer to be next, not my sin? It's the one I want the most. ).
Also, I agree with Tzu to have the thread title renamed.

Of course, help is appreciated. Might I see some of your art as a reference? I tried to find your thread here, but couldn't; and wouldn't know what to look for when searching deviantart.
PS: The pictures above are in chronological order. You may notice that the more recent characters have considerably better anatomy.

I would not search deviantART for things to refer to, it has some gems in it, but those gems are found in an everflowing torrent of fecal matter (mediocre fan-art, bad 3D pictures, poems from 13 year old girls and so on).
You're fairly decent for a self-taught person, especially at your age. There are some anatomy books you can get your hands on. Andrew Loomis' books are very good for teaching you anatomy. When I finish my paintings I will show you the style of what I do, but you may not find it to be what you want.
If you're just looking for GW gold from drawing pictures of people's characters then anime seems to be the way to go sadly, since everybody wants their own Naruto. But if you want to distinguish yourself then you should find your own style, and warp to something unique.
I'll give you some links of some artists I think are decent:

Yay necro time!
Gonna be busy for a few days, so don't know how much I can stay looking here to see the progress. x.x
Also, your a fast worker, put more time into this and it might become better. Not saying it's bad but always room for improvement.
Btw, you might want to look into the Edit button.

Eheh...the reason for the absolute barrage of posts was simply because if I wrote too long a single message, it was sent to the moderators for approval, and after two days, had yet to be approved. ^^

So it's NOT just me who gets that... I was starting to get curious. I thought I got reported or something and was under "moderator supervision." (Yes, I am a tad bit paranoid).
Wonder if they announced this change somewhere, because it gets annoying when you post a thread in Druid's Overlook and it pops up 4 threads down under stickies 3 days later.
(Druid's needs a new mod, Billard and Symeon are barely paying attention it seems... wonder if I can get the position >.>)

Here's a concept sketch of your necro:
The anatomy's rather fruity, I know - I'm working on that. But is the pose / facial expression satisfactory?
Note: The eyes are intentionally...odd. I figured if you have scars all over your face, it'll do a little more than just look like red facepaint...

I like it, although I will admit I was expecting a front view, side view is actually better!
Since I don't see any of this in the sketch I will just point out the dreadlocks on the back of the Dread Mask. Don't forget about those. Only issue I see with this step.

If I can ask, Azazel; what timezone are you in? I'm in GMT +0, but can be on at pretty much any hour - can we meet up at some point? I need to take some screenshots of your armour from certain angles - gwiki is useless. ^^
Anyways, here's a progress sketch. I have to say, your choices in armour don't make my life easy.

Okay, the screenshots weren't necessary in the end. But thanks anyway.
Would you be willing to pay a little more for a simple background? I've knocked this up:
But to colour in the character to fit is a bit of work - would 10k be reasonable for a background-ed picture?
Alright, here's the finished version. I managed to splice the background and picture...*reasonably* well, I think. The main problem was the foreshortening on the arm. As always, any requests or problems, let me know:
Just incase anyone was concerned - I am still alive, and have been drawing a little. I'm just tied down with uni work and family issues atm.
Okay, family crisis over and done with, and I'm about 75% done with Chicken of the Seas' characters:

No problem about taking so long, the holidays have been a hectic time for me as well. (Or else its just a hectic time in general) I love it so far! Its nice to see how its evolved through the PM's you've sent me.
Once again I love the details on the hair and armor, I think thats gonna be my favorite aspect on it. Background fits in good as well.
Can't wait to see it finished!

Trueflight, I'm going to have to make some changes to my aformentioned requests:
I would like a background for both my Ritualist and my Assassin. And my Ranger if you get a quick time for that.
I'll pay 25k in total for the combination of the Ritualist and Assassin drawings, and the Ranger changes. Instead of the would be 10k.
For my Ritualist, I would like to see something along the lines of a Kurzick Library in the background, with a spirit sorting books in the background.
For my Assassin, I would like the background to be something similar to the City of Ar'Challah - I have a picture of it that is a different view of the city, will add to attachments. If you can make a door or two look like a prison, that would be great.
For my Ranger, can you add a Crystal Desert/Desolation look to the background, with Giganticus Lupicus bones in the back (those would be the giant bones you see littered around the Crystal Desert).

Okay, Chicken - I've done all I can with this. The colouring isn't as detailed as most of my art, as I thought a simplistic colour scheme with a bit of burn/dodging would fit the mood better than my normal style. If you disagree / would like anything changed, just say.
@Morag D
Thank you! A compliment from one as talented as yourself is a great honour.
@Azazel
Sure, that sounds doable. To help me get an idea of what you want in the backgrounds (since they'll have to be handdrawn), can you basically give me an idea of the scenarios the characters are in? I.e., is the ritualist supposed to be looking for something in the texts, controlling the spirit, or posing for a photo, et cetera. It gives me more freedom to get the idea you want, without being tied down by a restrictive pose.
Also, I'll try with the ranger, but it may be hard to get the colour schemes to match in retrospect. I'll do what I can, though. I probably won't start anything new until after Christmas - I'm bogged down with uni work at the moment, and I'm going on holiday on the 23rd.
~Alex
