Rebirth: Your GW2 Character
Possible Spoilers
Inspired by the other thread talking about retiring your old character, here is a place to chronicle your new characters.
Lexx Fluxx - female Asura. Lives in Divinity Reach, the Krytan capital where she works with Humans to help stabilize the region. She particularly hates the White Mantle, who attacked and killed her parents. She will be a caster of some kind, hopefully a Ritualist type.
Mordakai the Mystic - male human. Born in the Shiverpeak Monastery, he has spent his life studying the history of Tyria, especially what little is known of the Dragons. But his ultimate goal is to kill Palawa Joko once and for all, and reclaim his ancestral homeland. If Dervish is not playable, he will be a Monk.
Ashpyre Smokeskin - male Charr. Ashpyre is a loner, who left the Charr after tiring of the petty squabbles between the legions. He has no love for other races, but finds he must occasionally work with them in order to survive. Ranger (Stalker) or Assassin.
Mysti Lynn - born from the Sylvari tree, she faintly remembers a past life of autumn trees and apple orchards. But now she is part of the Dream of Dreams, and has a whole new life and world to explore. Mesmer or Elementalist.
Amara Dawnbreaker - female Human, born in Ebonhawke. Her family has been fighting the Charr for generations, and she will not rest until either Ascalon is reclaimed, or she is killed

My four "definite" characters will be:
Clarabelle Mashaba - Descendant of Jennarose, my almost-main. Like her ancestor, she will be an Elementalist (or whatever the ele equivalent is). Similarly, she'll be adventurous and dedicated to the search of knowledge.
Lejja Tam - An Asura, probably something mez/necro-ey. Not much fleshed out yet; currently just your generic snarky Asura.
Hineli Ahnenjei - She'll return to the GW 'verse within a year of her leaving, intending to visit her friends. However, she'll forget to specify a time period, resulting in her returning hundreds of years after the deaths of everyone she's known. She'll have to adapt to the changed world, and she'll be the one who seeks out and organizes the descendants of her old companions into a cohesive group.
[Unnamed Sylvari] - All I know is that she will be female and probably some nature-y profession, like an earth ele or a ranger type.
I have some other characters that might be added later:
Calliope (or Euterpe, haven't decided yet) Okoro - Descendant of the Orpheus, the Kournan orphan that Medea and Ebia adopted. She'll be part of the Sunspear remnant, raised in hiding, and will likely be of the Mesmer or Paragon persuasion.
Nefertiti Nishi - Descendant of Tiye Nishi and her consort, Chino. Like the Okoro girl, she will have been raised in hiding, since Tiye's children were forced to flee their palace and forsake their rights as children of a merchant prince when Joko invaded. She'll be some kind of caster.
Nimadri Ahnenjei - Daughter of Xuta Ahnenjei, and younger half-sister of Hineli. She may be summoned by Elly for assistance, having already proved herself on Azeroth. She'll be some sort of holy warrior or monk (whatever is closest to a Jedi, really).
Sigyn the Mouse - A Norn healer-type. She'll be like my current Paragon, Simmy - calm, amicable, a bit meek. Character idea and name derived from Norse mythology, specifically this retelling: http://www.fictionpress.com/s/144359..._Son_of_Laufey.

Just did a major cleaning of the thread - hopefully it will stay on topic this time.
Konig Des Todes (name subject to change)- A Lich that existed before the time of the Exodus, eventually became bored with life and searched for a way to end his life without ending it there and now (which there is only one way which he knew how - to "die" onto of a bloodstone). Eventually found a spell to switch bodies with another soul and kidnapped a child Charr to switch with. He had his own body bound so that the Charr who would take control of it would never get released and then took the Charr's own body and lived a life of a Charr among his warband. Living life with a new thrill knowing that he actually could die at any moment.
Agares Hastur V - Descendant of Agares Hastur II (not a straight line of numbers :P; GW1 Ranger) and Ithaqua Zhar (GW1 Monk), Agares Hastur V keeps on the Hastur tradition of being a keen ranger and close to nature. Born and raised in Divinity Coast, hopes to one day help the last of the Ascalonians against the Charr as his ancestors did.
Xaphan Sariel - A former student of Shing Jea Monastery and a powerful Ritualist always seeking knowledge. In this thirst for knowledge, he eventually traveled to other realms and worlds. In one of these worlds, he eventually found a spell which would make him just as impossible to kill as a Lich, while still staying alive - through the use of a very powerful spell using the Preservation school of magic at its fullest. When the Sylvari race was born, he became envious of the one knowledge he could not gain - the Dream of Dreams. To achieve this goal, he used the same spell Konig later used on a charr, and Xaphan switched bodies with a Sylvari. Then realizing he could be killed and not wishing that, he once more used the preservation spell and, for a second time, gained immortality. But before doing so, he learned of a spell of Denial to keep his own mind from being read by the other sylvari at his will - so that they do not steal his secrets. Now he seeks all the knowledge so that he can claim it as his own - and at will spread it with the naive race of Sylvari.
I only have three characters planned at the moment. I may decide to make an Asura and/or Norn. And if Tengu becomes a playable race, I will by far be one.

OOh me likey this thread i hope i got it right.. we gots to describe our GW2 characters and their history... ooh fancy
Alright well
Ghost Omel( Male Charr). A rare occasion when a charr cub survives the flood of the century. Washed up on the shore of a peacfull human village this poor nameless cub has been picked up by a Lone soldier passing through the village at the time. The mans name was Ghostilius Omelankius. Being a veteran of a long forgotten war for his kingdom he has heard of charr before as a vile and strong race able to defeat kingdoms and burn down the civilizations. Being a man of a new and post-war soldier he seen to much death on his hands and desided to keep the Char cub as his own son. Traveling wiht the cup was not easy and very exausting but he made it to his home at a valley where this Cub could grow up, he named him Ghost Omel. Every night he would tell the child the stories of his great unsestors their fight for freedome and for good. Child not thinking much of his and his fathers differneces grew up and during his teen years would be recruited into the Military school in which his father has become headmaster. The Military school was majorly Human but had norn and Asura Students as well, charr was only 1 in the past 20 years. Growing wihtin the wals of the academy the Cub became an expert in Hammers and Swords and graduated first in his class. Soon after His father has died from an unkown disease and Nothing Held Ghost back from venturing to find his destiny. Looking throughtou his fathers scrols and tomes he found the history of his family and all the detailes from the Undead menace to the Destroyers fall realizing that his name was given him for a reason after his ansestor who have lived, fought and died 250 years ago.
Meh other characters have almost same story, all family related no outsiders (per say).

Shew: (I hope we will be able to use single names for our characters.) Shew will be a Sylvari.
I will probably be starting fresh with Guild Wars 2. (I'm probably not going to link my Guild Wars account to my GW2 one.)
If I do decide that I'm going to link accounts, my GW character will have patiently become a Druid after the events of GW:EN. Eventually, with all of the happenings (dragon awakenings, etc.), he will have been given permission by Dwayna to be reincarnated as a Sylvari (at the cost of his memory).

Y**rgh Arghore(** letters to be decided on naming policy for GW2)
To the end of GW1 the necro's of the Arghore family, with the help of Horace, will go back into the catacombes from where they emerced. There they will lay dormant ('for 250y') to emerce when ever Tyria is threatened, to protect Tyria from which ever threads are thrown at it.. (even if its as complicated as the Pudding or the yellow :P )

Guild Wars 2 Characters
Tharn Blood/Ironrift (I’m not sure about his name unfortunately, but I’ll edit it, if the perfect combination comes to my mind): Male Charr Warrior
His grandfather is the mighty Charr champion, Garfaz Steelfur, former member of the Oddbodies. (After Abaddon’s and Mallyx’s fall he had returned to the Charr Homelands through where he arrived before: Hrangmer, the Jaws of Oblivion.)
His father had taught all the things he learnt from Tharn’s grandfather, the way of the true warrior. He was patient, strong and charismatic when he was old enough to begin his training in one of the Faharar Camps. After years of training, he and his brothers had become the best Charr warband ever trained. After their „graduation” they were sent to Ascalonian lands to reinforce their chosen legion’s forces.
One of their tasks was to intercept, interrogate, then kill a small group of scouts from Ebonhawke. Unfortunately, the scouts spotted them, and fled to the outskirts of Ascalon City. Tharn and his warband pursuited them deeper into the town. There they’ve found the scouts, dead. At this moment the spectral Ascalonian Guards appeared out of nowhere. The small warband knew this is a fight they can not win. They’ve started to run, but the spirits enclosed on them from every direction. Near the edge of the city they were cornered. Tharn told his warband to escape while he holds them back. He roared out, and entered an Infernal Rage. When he „killed” a soldier it raised again after a few moments. Minutes have passed, and he became exhausted. Tharn was sure that his brothers managed to escape by now, so he shoved a spirit away, then used his shield to bash another. Finally, he got out from the deady ring of ghosts, then ran out from the city. He didn’t find his brothers, and he thought they didn’t make after all. (They’ve survived, but they were searching for Tharn.)
He didn’t want to go back to his legion. Tharn wanted to gather knowledge and understand the cause of the events that occured throughout the Tyria.
Two years have passed since he deserted from the Charr army.
He accompanied humans, the Asura, Norns and the mysterious Sylvari on his travels. He has learnt a lot since he left his home and his parents in the Charr Homelands.
Tharn didn’t betray his brethren. If they ever needed help he returned to fight off their enemies then leave after the battle. He has become the solitary protector of the Charr people.
Syra Elianor: Female Sylvari Ranger
Her forename comes from Syra Rauminen, a great Ascalonian Ranger who had hidden in the remote island of Ventari from the rest of the world, after her father - who had adopted her after she’d lost her parents in the Searing – had become the servant of an Ancient Dragon. Syra later died here and was buried close to the tree from which the Sylvari later born. The young Sylvari saw the word ’elianor’ in the Dream of Dreams - although she don’t know what does it mean - and chose it as her second name.
Syra departed from the safe location of Arbor Bay because of curiosity and her never-ending thirst for knowledge. Now she braves the lands of Tyria to learn more and more. She has been seen traveling with other races, to make friends, but more importantly, to learn from them and to study them.
Amelia Mirageblade: Female Human Mesmer
Daughter of Jaina Mirageblade and Lord Sethiroth, Amelia was born in Divinity’s Reach. She’s been studying the arts of Illusion and Domination since age 15. After she’d been given the Mesmer Insignia - for perfectly graduating in the city’s academy – she left her secure home to adventure in her troubled homeland and beyond.
I'm sure that I'll make a Norn and an Asura, but for the moment, I have no background info/biography for them.

I'm gonna make a female Charr and a Sylvari along with one more female Human.
My Charr's name is gonna be (if not taken) Crystal Fiereshot, related to Pyre Fiereshot that helped X Silver Mist X (my Guild Wars 1 Dervish) defeat The Great Destroyer, a general of Drakkar (the dragon in the lake). She is going to defeat Drakkar.
My Sylvari's name is gonna be Sylvia The Sylvari. She was born of the tree (as all Sylvari are) in Ventari's island. She will be loving and help anyone no matter what race they are.
My Human's name will be Gwen (if they can be 1 word). She is the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Gwen the Mesmer. She will also be a Mesmer (if a possible profession).

Ishimaru Taiki (Human Ritualist or Necromancer) - Pleased with the dedication of Ishimaru, Grenth allowed Ishimaru within the Hall of Judgement in the Underworld. As an eternal servant of Grenth, Ishimaru becomes just another spirit in the grand scheme of Grenth, only to emerge to bring forth Grenth's judgement when called upon again.
Daemon Seeker (Sylari Assassin - if available) - Being connected to the natural flow of life in Tyria, Daemon Seeker feels the pain that Tyria has endured and has dedicated his life to seeking an end to those who caused this pain.

Belidawn- Growing up in the area once known as the Maguuma Jungle, she spent her time studying the history of her ancestors, focusing on her great-grandmother six generations back, known as Dawn of the Mists. For her sixteenth birthday, Belidawn received a book that had been handed down through the generations. No one knew what was inside, because it had been bound shut with two leather like straps that wrapped around it vertically and horizontally, clasped on the front by a medallion. The medallion was made from an unusual metal, domed and circular in the center, with a ring of glyphs around it. Around the ring of glyphs was a ring of eight arrow like points. The center could be pressed inward, but did not release the straps. Both rings could be rotated around the center, independent of each other. Many attempts had been made to cut the straps, but they did not yield to blades.
On Belidawn's eighteenth birthday, at the hour of her birth, the book began to make a humming sound. When she picked the book up, it had a pink glow around it. Belidawn gently caressed the book, her hand pausing on top the medallion. The two rings began slowly spinning in opposite directions, and the center to glow. Belidawn pressed the center inward. The straps were released and the rings stopped spinning. Belidawn sat down near a window and gently opened the book.
The first page was blank. The second page had writing in the old language on it. The following pages had maps on them. The first map showed a structure on an island. Another map showed the island and its relationship to mountains and other landmarks. A third map showed the old coastline, before the original Lion's Arch was flooded. And a final map shows the entire Tyrian continent. Belidawn turned back to the page written in the old language. Even though she had been taught the old language, some of the words were unfamiliar. Using the words she did know and using probable words in conjunction with those, she was able to interpret the writing.
"The reader of these words is of pure heart and mind. You are about to begin a journey that will bring you great joy, and greater hardship. You now possess the key to and the location of all I held near and dear and what has aided me in my journeys. All the treasures of my life and journeys are now yours to take and to use. Travel safe and and may the Goddess Melandru guide and protect you." It was signed, Dawn, Scion 67, AE 1122
Belidawn looked again at the maps. The location of the structure on the island was in the northern Shiverpeak Mountains. She was able to determine this from the names of some of the major towns shown on the map. It would take three or four months to travel there, if the journey could be made at all. There has been a lot of fighting breaking out all over the continent. Many strange creatures appearing and destroying everything in their path, then disappearing again. Rumors are saying "Those that slept, have been awakened." "Those once bound, have been unleashed."
So begins Belidawn's journey.

Brutus Godly- I dont have a fancy story behind him. If anything, his name was passed on down through the family due to his...err...heroism?
Most likely will be of human race, but could possibly be Norn. That silly Jora sure did have a thing for his Great Great Great Grandfather

I've only had one character idea for GW2 at the moment, which is, rather unimaginatively, a human. (Possibly, even a Tengu, in the hope that anet release a cantha based expansion/campaign)
Colt Trigg
Ranger
Born in the Maguuma Jungle in a family of human settlers, Colt made his name as a bounty hunter, striving to rid Tyria of criminals and bandits. When the love of his life is killed by a murderous thug, he punishes himself for not being there to save her. He has since this event lost his sense of mercy, and he does his best to kill anyone who wrongs him or his kind. He is also wracked with self-hatred, but tries to better himself by helping those in need.
My main character in this guild wars is... well a bit of a gimp. I want to play a hardcore badass in GW2 for a change. Also, I am REALLY hoping for crossbows to be in gw2, since I have pictured him using them as his main weapon. Also, I hope I can stick predominantly to one character, unlike now where I'm darting around different professions and not sticking on one, for titles and such.

Hopefully there will be male sylvari...lol
Anyway, on to the decendants of my current characters lol
[Ele?] Clow Eversong (Human/Ascalonian backround) - Great great grandson of Archmage Eversong. He was born in Kryta and studied magic at it's most prestigous magical acadamy until the age of 21. He then felt as if he knew enough magic to fight for Ascalon, his ancestral home. However, the strange book he was given at birth seems to emit a strange glow when he speaks his ancestors name. Oddly enough, traveling to Ebonhawk he met a Sylvari that looked like the spitting image of his ancestor.
[Ele?] Tarlach (Male Sylvari) - Born from the Sylvari Tree, his first moments on Tyria were ones assaulted by memories of a past life filled with regret, love, power, and knowladge. In search of whos memories these were, he went to where his memories lead him-The Eye of The North. There, he found what looked like a picture of him, but it wasn't him, it could not be as he had never met the people in the painting. Further investigation lead him to his answer-He was the Reincarnation of Archmage Eversong. As to why he is the reincarnation in unknown, perhaps Tyria needs it's old heros back? Or maybe he needs to teach a certain decendant a few things?
[Mo?] Dusk Flourite (Human/Ascalonian backround) - Great great grandson of Archsage Dusk, named after him as well. Dusk was born in Ebonhawk, only seeing the remains of Serenity Temple once in his life to see the remains of his ancestor's lost work. The only thing left of his lineage was a pile of rubble and a title- Saint of The Heart, to which he has yet to live up to.
[Mes?] Lenn (Asuran male) - He works to keep the gates connecting Ebonhawk to its various supply outposts running. While in Ebonhawk, he learned to understand the human's fight for their lost home and began to see that life in more than just an equation, it has loss, emotion, and hate and love all happening at the sametime.
Please forgive my spelling/grammatical errors.
