But I am rather tired of drawing fantasy scene after fantasy scene. I need some SciFi in me... So since I was wavering about what to do next for my commissions... I'll pick... NEITHER OF THEM

Instead I'm doing a scifi painting. I am however, offering someone's characters a spot in it. Except it wont be GW-esque at all, so please don't expect that.

I'm opening this thread up to anyone who wants to offer a picture or a description of a character. Does NOT have to be GW related.

Note: this is NOT an auction thread nor a CHALLENGE ME thread. I'll probably pick something rather fast, like the first thing that interests me. If this thread just gets no replies, I'll just do w/e. If this thread is filled with things that doesn't interest me, I'll just do w/e. I am not expecting payment (altho I wont refuse tips AFTER the fact :P. Just no bribing), just some good old art.

Note 2: please don't post a character if you want that _same_ character done in a commission any time soon. I get tired of faces :P

Ah, a brief description then.

A female character getting out of a fighter aircraft, removing equipment. Perhaps in an open garage with an industrial background.

A bit vague, aye, but that's where creative license comes in handy.

a robot doing kung fu? with 3 arms! and a jetpack smashing through a building. and Canti from FLCL in the background.

make the robot have orbs a la ragnarok online monks. And make sure you give the face of the robot a buglike appearance, kinda like a maggot. Maybe steampunk up it up a little? steam powered electric robot? oh and lasers, you need lasers somewhere

How does that sound?

oh and make the color yellow the primary color!

I'd like to see the guild wars dinosaurs in space! Kinda like Dino crisis 3 (even though it was a crappy game imo...) Maybe a big mutant tyrannus chasing some people in the space station, or a pack of mutated raptors...Yeah you can tell I'm big on dinosaurs eh? Just look to Dino Crisis 3 screens for inspiration. =P

Haha, this is cool! Well, guess what... my Monk, Xuta Ahnenjei, is a Star Wars crossover to begin with!

Not saying it needs to be a SW specific piece though. Just... I've never drawn her as an older adult, only in her twenties. So, a general idea...

She's disembarking a small spacecraft (fighter type thing, preferably with a boxy cockpit and two D-shaped wings that fold upwards) under fire, maybe leaping? Scenery is up to you, and it's up to you whether or not to show the attacker.

Notes about Xu's appearance:
Age - About 40
Skin - A medium olive color, slightly darker than in the screenie but with a similar tone
Face - Long and angular, with a straight nose (similar to the screen, but narrower and with an upward tilt to the eyes - luckily, I can't settle on how to draw her; representations have ranged from looking essentially Asian to looking mysteriously like Keira Knightley)
Eyes - Bright violet (side effect of Travelerdom), slightly almond-shaped
Hair - Very dark brown (I usually just draw it as black), bound back in a reserved style suitable for an active, middle-aged woman
Clothing - Tends to wear loose-fitting but non-restricting purple and/or blue outfits (gen. Jedi robes - KotOR era variety or historian robes like those of Atris and Jocasta Nu - or a tunic and wide-legged pants)
Weapons - If you do choose to go SW she'd be wielding twin purple sabers, but otherwise perhaps twin laser pistols?

I'll give you a couple of my RP characters, all of which are from sci-fi-ish settings

The first is Rianna Xi, former Jedi Knight. If you've read the challenge thread, you already know who she is

Tall, skinny (nearly to the point of unhealthiness), long wavy red hair, very fair skin, blue almond-shaped eyes. Wears a black top, brown/tan pants, black boots, and a deep red hooded cloak. Extremely temperamental and violent; carries two lightsabers (one purple, one orange). And she knows how to use them very well.

The second is San, my Matrix character. Short slender Japanese girl with slightly wavy black hair that's about shoulder-length. First officer of her ship; currently on leave due to sustaining severe injuries when her ship was brought down and destroyed in a sentinel attack. In the Matrix she wears a red cheongsam-style shirt, loose black pants and black boots, and a black shrug-type jacket. She fights either unarmed or with a pair of tanto. Has a habit of doing stupidly suicidal things (such as facing Agents on her own, or taking a gun turret to shoot down sentinels even though she sucks with guns).

And last we have Agent Alana, an agent of the Technocracy. Medium height, with curly light brown hair and brown eyes. She's a computer expert; if it's technological, she can hack it. She's also an expert in signal manipulation, decent with social skills, and even has the means to teleport herself in an emergency. She's also far too paranoid, worries about everything, and is possibly in over her head (her habit of hacking everything and counting on the fact that she's good enough that she shouldn't get caught is going to come back and bite her hard one of these days). She has no combat abilities whatsoever which means she spends most of her time away from the rest of the group, instead coordinating and doing research for them - she's the Operator, so to speak. This of course does not stop her from getting into huge trouble - like the time she ran into an angry Archmage on her own...or the time she decided to go up against a Vampire. Or when the head of her convention believed that she had evidence that he had sabotaged their group...

hm, Alacrity is not originally a GW character, has appeared in dark futuristic worlds before ~

I'd love to see her tearing along a dark future streetscape, in this improbable monstrosity

viewpoint at your discretion ~ can you picture an aspect from the asphalt in front of her, people/ lights /buildings streaming past in a blur~?

She could be wearing something like Elite Kurz, an outfit Ala does not wear in GW, and purchased purely to create screenies of futuristic biker leathers :}
tho of course let your imagination run rampant
and if you didn't want to draw her face there is always that helmet, but then we'd miss out on her maniacal grin ~
