Hmm lets see, while non of my chars use pets do to un effectiveness. I think my nec would look good with a raven:

Perhaps he is in a graveyard doing all the unsavory things a necromancer does while the raven is sittin on one of those tall gravestones like this: but taller and skinnier.

She looks all mean and vicious, but at heart...she's a kitty. I'd like to think she's a big cuddleball that sits on my Ranger's feet and purrs while they're not out adventuring.

Biography:
Agares Hastur II comes from a family of Rangers that can be linked all the way back to the Exodus. The Hastur family has always been, and will probably always will, be the best archers in Tyria.

While on a mission to scout the Charr movements in 1070, he and his team was captured and all except him were sacrificed to the Charr gods, the Titans. He was rescued the day before his execution by Konig and Azazel.

His father was killed by Vatlaaw Doomtooth just before the Searing, and the Searing caused his mother to go insane. His sister, Alila, stayed in Ascalon as part of the Ascalon Army as a Monk. Alila was killed by the Charr when the Titans were released.

In late 1074 AE, Agares met Abby Mueller, a Tyrian Kurzick – her family left for Cantha to escape the Guild Wars and settled with the Kurzicks. In early 1075 AE, they had a son which by Agares’ tradition was named Agares Hastur III.

Genealogy:
Agares Hastur II comes from a family of Rangers. His family has existed in Ascalon since it was settled, before that his family lived in Orr. His family has a tradition of naming the first born son “Agares” and to keep the last name of “Hastur.” All children in the family usually learn the ways of the Ranger, sometimes this can change though. Such as with Agares Hastur II’s sister, Alila Hastur, who became a Monk in Ascalon’s Army. Even back in Orr, the family name was “Hastur” and all the first bone males were named Agares.

This tradition is only broken when there are no male children, which does happen every now and then, such as with Agares’ grandmother, a child of one. But even with this break in the tradition, the Hastur family keeps its last name and tradition of being Rangers.

Ok I've 2 suggestions:

First
Panda(counts as pet? ^^)
my monk Lucy Gwyneth together with a Pandabear. The Panda is crawling on this back, while Lucy is on his belly hugging him. I would like to see alot of Lucy, so I guess it has to bee a biig faat pandabear This would be exactly the way Lucy would be looking (exept she is not a panda ) http://www.traveladventures.org/cont...nt-panda08.jpg So the treetrunk will be the panda and the panda lucy (hard huh! )
This would be preferably somewhere in a forrest with lots of bamboo.
Armor she should be wearing:
Elite Kurzick Chest (black)
Woven Pants (black, with gold ribbon, like elite kurzick)
Elite canthan shoes
No headthing, no gloves ^^
HOPE YOU PICK THIS ONE!

But if you are more inspired by some action, here is the second one ^^

Nice idea, trying my luck with my ranger and her pets

Nemesis Xero and her lynx Echo. She charmed him the moment she set foot in Kryta, and he hasn't left her side since. Their favorite activities are adventuring and hunting in the woods.

Aaand, if minipets count and you don't feel like drawing a lynx: Nemesis and her Raptor

Little Raptor loves following Nemesis around and hunting down some little creatures (he can't take on the big ones, although he likes to feast on their meat when Nemesis and Echo have killed a prey).

Anyway here's just in case...I don't know if it really counts as "pet" but I wouldn't mind seeing my pirate mesmer with a pet raptor...(life size ofc!) She can be sitting on it, riding it or leaning against it, or perhaps holding it on a leash. That part will be up to you =P

It's strange, I've always thought of my characters to be bitchy spazzes (probably because of the person playing them

) and they usually have names to suit it. But I can't help but give pets cute, silly names. Don't be fooled though they'll gladly rip anyone apart on command. Just look at Carrot Cake's teeth, angry bear! Rah!
Taking off Sugar Cookie's jingley collar to choke someone could be rather interesting in a funny sort of demented way.

her playful white tiger she tamed as a cub ~ she thought he might be a useful sidekick on her adventures but really the big pussy lacks any killer instinct and just gets in the way, and now he's almost big enough to swallow her whole~!
maybe she's riding him on an adventure (investigating all those froggies and insects that crop up as part of the scenery is an adventure for Caspar~!); or more likely scolding him; he could be hiding/stalking her, or they are wrestling, or simply cuddling or petting him (she doesn't do much of the last, not terribly maternal)

[basically Caspar's a ginormous white striped pussycat~!]

I suggested a bunch of black moa chicks following my Ranger around in my request, but if you're up to something a bit more odd and non GW-related you could try your hand at drawing Surinya:

Yes, this is from WoW. One of the very first pets that my Hunter tamed, and only after traveling (literally) across two continents to her track down. Surinya is semitransparent. Instead of dying, she fades away (to a land of ghosts?) to return at full health a few days later. Compare her to Gwenhwyvar, if you will.

Just for the sake of including a GW character to draw like most people have, you could draw Surinya with my Ritualist ... who is a ghost herself. She's the ghost in this picture - black hair, pale skin, and Imperial armour dyed an off-shade of green.

Well, here goes

this is my ranger and her pets story (shortened of course, i haven't written the whole thing yet :P).
Her name is Mrs Mysteriouss and she has named her tiger Neko. Only a few people know her real name

She rescued Neko as a tiny cub when his mother was killed by poachers. (I've no idea whether there's poachers in GW but yeah >_>). Mrs Mysterious used to be married, but her husband was killed a few years ago (haven't decided how yet but it was very traumatic for her) and she became a recluse and took to living in the wilderness with Neko.
He is not really her 'pet' cause he's a wild tiger! but she does live with him in the forest and he aids her in battle etc. They are constant companions and he's the only comfort left to her now.

She would be wearing:

Canthan top + boots, back ref
Elite Kurzick leggings
no gloves, but I imagine her to wear a few golden rings, if you like that idea.

either dyed Turquoise, or left in the shade of greenish gray that it is in those examples.
Whichever goes best with your idea for an artwork.

Morrigan has two pets, you can choose whether you want to draw one, or both.
The iguana is like a little dog, follows her around, eats her scraps and likes cuddles.
The bird is more like a friend to Morrigan, not only is she hugely fascinated by it, but she considers it more human than animal.
