I imagine the lack of interest is due to most people being busy with school and or already up to their necks in commissions. I can't speak for the others but an ambiguous bid of "ectos" isn't enough to make me want to gogogo

The price is entirely dependent on the artist. I haven't seen many artists that are above my price range thus far, and I am willing to offer more for the right style. In my experience on other sites, people often raise their prices so they're exactly what the person is offering. ("I have xxx to spend." "O, that's convenient, because my art costs xxx.") I'd like to see what kind of prices an artist has first.
EDIT: It's not that I want it as cheap as possible... I just want their going rate.

You might get more interest if you give some ideas of what you require, there is no mention of background, if any, poses, preferred styles etc. Or is it totally at the artists' discretion?
I realise you're trying to get as much as you can for as little as you can pay, which is reasonable, but there is far more work about than there are artists to create it and a lot of the work is very flexible and the prices are upfront.
Bribing people with big money might be the only way to get into their list of commissions.

Updated the first post with my preferences. As I said before, I haven't seen anyone with prices I couldn't afford yet, so feel free to PM or post... For the right style, my fiance said he'd be willing to pitch in a bit if needed as well.

I'd would draw it, but I'm pretty sure you both have me on ignore :P
I'd do it for 400K and it'd take 1-2 weeks. :]

Not sure why you'd be on our ignore list... I'll PM you for a full response to that post, mostly because I'm slightly confused. o_O
Still looking unless I edit the first post to say I'm not. =P
EDIT: Sketching an idea out for a pose, desperately trying to break through my art block. Hopefully it'll be done soon, and the general idea can be conveyed to the artist.
