I'm unwilling to start on any large (100k+) commissions before finals end, since I tend to lineart/colour/finish all in one sitting and if I start one afternoon, I'll probably end up still drawing past midnight and that'll screw me over for my exams the following day.
On a lighter note tomorrow's my last 2 exams, so maybe the coming weekend I'll start.
The background is still making me very hesitant though.

Araiia, you did such a great job and I admire you for actually getting such a large amount of commissions done, and still going! I understand how busy people are, but I thank you so much for doing such a lovely commission for my mesmer.

lol yeah, yours has bigger pieces and less pieces.
I'm too lazy to check gwiki right now, but I'm guessing that the armor I drew is obby >_> lots of random black diamond shapes on the plates.

Free-for-All : I use my personal discretion to determine what style of shading will look the best.
Guaranteed to be more than base colour.

I didn't see this before =o
I'd like to change my commission to this, still waist up. Just a feeling that it'll turn out better.

lol, alright
I'd say aside from art block my biggest obstacle as a commission artist is trying to force myself to draw/shade in a consistent style. I've gone through a lot of different styles in the past and never quite forgotten them, so depending on a bunch of different factors I end up shading differently each day.

I concur, is the background in game or did you do it? BTW, that was obby armor. The pointer it is, the more elite it is .

@Kat - <3! And wow, that was a hell of a big tip. My pen hand says thank you ... xD
@Zodiac - yeah, it's an in-game screenie. It's actually the same location as the reference pic Kat provided in her original post, except I traveled there in-game and took a larger picture from a different angle.
And yes, quoted for truth on the armor-spikiness... for physical damage classes, anyways. x3

A much needed update!
Since graduation and Kat's commission I haven't updated this thread, so I'm going to post an update right now~
I'm working on getting all my forms and schedules complete for the college that I'll be attending this coming fall right now.
I haven't forgotten about this thread and hopefully I'll be able to start finishing some requests by July.
As a note, I'm getting somewhat close to the gold cap. If you are able to pay in a wishlist item, ectos or some stackable form of non-currency payment, by all means tell me now.

Ahahaha. We have such different interpretations of the same character XD (just saw your Misa now). I just finished a commission of Misa in my thread as well, and she looks completely different. I like your version
Good luck with your thread
