What the hell, I missed you by 10 minutes. That's lame.
I forgot to log off before I went to school today, so it's my fault now, right?

Araiia,
Your artwork is amazing. The commissions you have completed so far are stunning. You have a very nice style. I love to draw and paint, but unfortunately I stink with computer art...It is something I would LOVE to learn how to do, but I havn't found the resources needed to learn. Would you happen to know of any tutorial sites for learning how to draw kind of "anime-ish" characters using computer art? I have been fantisizing for a while about opening up a commission thread...I would LOVE to...but I keep running into the same problem : First I need to learn how to use computer art ...hmm...Well if you know of some website or something where I could learn how to draw like you I would really appreaciate it.
Thanks and nice work,
~ ><> Mr. Fish

Hmm.. well, I'm largely self taught. To be honest my art is pretty 'primitive' as far as digital art goes. I've never delved into the many possibilities that come with various art programs.. all I use are the most basic tools. In essence I draw on the computer with a tablet the same way I would draw and colour in real life, except with the added bonus of an undo button.
I tried a couple tutorials but in the end I learn much more just by scrutinizing the art of others and then trying to pick out what the good/bad points are. deviantArt has a large collection of user-submitted tutorials for various things though, if you want to look there.

A question: can you do a drawing like those about my character in an other game, not Guild Wars?
I would still pay with GW gold, since I have like 200 ectos left, but I don't play it anymore.

I would like to reserve a spot. I have the cash for anything so that won't be a problem.
If you want to get started thinking on it while my screenshot is pending. Just to give you a good idea. It's a smexy ass ranger fair skinned blonde ranger as short as possible ofc. The blonde hair is the factions style, the off to the side kinda emo guy haircut. Blue eyes. White dyed Druid armor. Smexy :P

@Daraaksii - probably, yeah, depending as long as it's still a female character with a nice design o_o;
@Azure - added to waitlist, going to wait on photo refs though.

Finished Tidus Yumemiru's second request. It didn't come out quite as sketchy as I would've liked in order for it to count as a sketchy-styled lineart, but I guess I'm not in a sketchy mood right now.

Following Tidus's commission...
supermassiveupdate to my first post!
Yesterday I finally got enough money for a Q9 VS and subsequently bought it for +32e.
I didn't intend for this thread to be temporary though. I got a moderator to change the title so it no longer says that I need gold for a VS. I've added a lot of stuff, as well as thumbnails for sample pictures. My original thread was decidedly lacking in direct-link images. I've changed my prices again, too.

Oh geez, you need background pictures. I'm no artist but lets see if I can do this.
Ok, so it's bad, but it's something to follow by ... If you can follow by it. If I could help more if I would, but 2 years studying creative writing major and child education can only get you so far in art. I love being a tech guy but when it comes to art I'm lost.

Yeah, I know what kind of background you wanted. The problem is whether I can summon the will to draw your request.. heh. It's a very large request at my original (very low) price.

I'll pay you over time, each week I farm items for traveler and people pay a lot. When it's done I'll be happy to pay you ~50k a week for the next 5 weeks. (300k total including the first week.) Well, being how easy it is to do it recently I'll pay extra to the total 300k. In case I get an unreachable farm.

Wow Araiia, I must say that I like the new format for the thread. Very organized and well planned out. I also love how you included a sort of step-by-step diagram of how you complete your drawings, it is very helpful for us..."Developing"...artists And btw, congratulations on your V. Spear ^^, you have earned it.
Keep up the great work,
~ ><> Mr. Fish
