Taking a look at the first page of Nolani right now:

Auctions: 2
Contests: 4
Commission Threads: 7
Art Buyer Threads: 2

Actual posts that have nothing to do with money/winning: 3

Nolani has changed a lot since I first started being active in this subforum. There are a LOT more people here now, but at the same time it's becoming more and more like Gaia Online forums (some of you may know what I'm talking about.) I've decided that I'm leaving this part of Guru for the same reason that I quit Gaia.

I'm sure some of you are jumping for joy, a few might be sad, I'll miss some people and be glad that some things that have been weighing down on me for the last couple months can now be lifted off my back.

p.s. I'm going to be sad if this thread gets modded/deleted because it "goes against the spirit" or something.

Troll away (or even better, just read it and let it drop off the front page quietly.)

It is sad to see a good artist leave, and I agree with you its becoming a little too much like Gaia, but if that's what everyone wants I personally cannot do much.

I do look forward to seeing more of your work in the future on Deviant Art.

As for now, I'm keeping a close watch.

@Blue - Boring? Nolani is 4x more active than it was the previous spring, I swear! It's actually the activity that's driving me away, to some extent. I can't keep up with everything that's going on.

Yeah, I have troubles following it all as well. Auctions and Art Buying isn't my preference, I'd rather find good artists (with them showing examples!) instead of letting them come to me (dunno what quality you'll get...).

It is always sad to see a good and active artist leave. (Especially to lose a non-chibi artist when there are so many chibi artists around. >_> <_< >_>)

@Konig - lol, attack of the chibis...

I'll still be checking dA daily and hopefully uploading art on there, I just can't fit in the current Nolani environment. If you (anyone) gets new armor/equips for a character and wants to run it past me on dA, I might do some GW art from over there. I think I'm done with commissions and art involving money, though.
