ยก I love the progression on your character, Beren985, you've put a lot of thought and planning into those gorgeous screenies~!
hm, and BlueXIV, your new format sounds far more manageable .. if you put a commish slot for auction, you will probably not need to paint for plat ever again after one single large work ~
GW gold has become far easier to get since you were here 2+1/2 years ago, and there are many squillionaires with nothing to spent their piles of ecto on ..
[no, Ala is not one of them, she gives most of her plat away, but also has no need for gold either, other than to purchase art with]
oh, and for a guild, best to find peeps who are active in your own timezone
that WiP is coming along beautifully~!

Woah a lot of stuff to choose from . Fun characters everywhere... hmm
Anyways, Kith's commission is coming along... I really like my new sketch (it is TOTALLY different. Much cooler if I do say so myself ) for her, and will be semi-slowly coloring it in over the next few days. I would post more WIPs, but Kith says "surprise me," so I'll wait til I finish.
I bet she will be surprised. Just not exactly sure if it'll be in a good way :\. (I tend to paint things in a bit more... uh... sinister manner if no one gives me any additional directions... Back in school I was assigned to paint our teacher... I got sent to counseling :< I'd tell you guys the story, but getting a bit off topic here...)
Going back to work now...
(I feel like I shouldn't be having so much fun drawing children in pain...)

uhh lol. If you insist...
It's still very much WIP. I'm trying to mess around with the composition and perspective, so everything is kinda muddy right now... but I think you get the general idea... I went a little overboard with the evil, might have to tone that back a bit, if only in the face XD
Basically, I took your character name and ran away with it. "Elite Yakuza Misa". I pictured a female mobster XD. A loan shark if you will, Misa goes around and collects debt from those who borrowed from the Am Fah. She's not above using force and a mob of Am Fah Assassins to do it either :P

That-is-AWESOME!
Its so active and emotive, you can really feel the vindictive power she has over everyone in the room. Its great, if a little disturbing! I cannot wait to see the finished peice and what you do with everyone elses characters!

It's a good idea to make multiple saves increasing in version number, if you use Painter the iterative save does this for you, and take the opportunity to compress as many layers down as you can with each new version.
It will save you a lot of time in the long run.

Brief Lore
by the Teller of Tales
Mouvelian calender - 876 AE - 1076 AE
Year by year, Daniel succumbs more and more to the winter form curse, slowly turning into a facet of ice, such is the legacy of the Lady Drakkar and King Jack Lanthorn. It is rumoured he found solace in the lair of the snowmen, where he resigned himself to his icy fate and prayed to the Gods one last time. In the faded Dwarven runes from the journal of King Hundar, it speaks that Grenth first visited this barely human man, and bid him welcome into the icy depths of the Underworld, where the Ice King awaited him. Clasping his arms (therefore solidifying them to ice) he began to draw his essence into the Underworld. If not for the timely arrival of a well placed snowball, Daniel would be no more. Overcome with sheer dumbfounded amazement, he witnessed a certain feminine elf casually saying to the Lord of Death and Ice, "Why your Godship, it seems you have a snowball on your head!"
Grenth cursed him for his fathers crimes and for resisting death, thus making him an Envoy. It would seem that Frozenwind did not fully come under Grenth's power, due to the intervention of the mysterious elf. It is known that every Envoy bears the mark of that which killed them, the ice had put Daniel at the brink, but had not killed him. It was then that Dwayna blessed him, and he became a Snowman.
Envoys are shepherds of the souls of the dead, but unlike them, Envoy Frozenwind is a shepherd of the holiday spirit. As an Envoy will appear to a newly departed soul, Envoy Frozenwind appears when festivities are on the air. His tasks on Wintersday are numerous, but the main ones are to summon the Wintersday creatures Elf and Grench alike to Tyria, remind people of what makes Wintersday and try to sway the balance in favour of Dwayna.
Frozenwind has taken up this mantle at Wintersday since before the war between Kryta and Ascalon, there are records of his original name in an ancient Ascalon census dating back to the time of the founding of Nolani, suggesting that he was once a Flaming Scepter Mage. The last known residence of this oddity of Ascalonain origin was in a tower in an area known simply as "Wizards Folly".
