Krazy Kat's Animated GIF/Background Removal Services
Krazy Kat's Commissions!
Welcome to my commission thread! I will be making animated gifs of any situation in Guild Wars that you request. I also can remove the background off any number of characters you want. You may also visit my deviantART page and gallery if you'd like to see more examples.
Instructions
Fill out the appropriate request form below and post it in this thread. - Animated gifs: I will meet you in game and will record a video of the situation described in your posting.
- Background removal: I will meet you in game (preferably in an unpopulated district of Random Arenas by the gray tent) to take a picture of the character(s) you wish to have background removal done on. I will then remove the background and put the character(s) in a new background of your choosing (make sure you honor any copyrights). If you would like the pictures with the background removed, I will send them to you via e-mail.

This is cool, I'd like to reserve a spot if I could while I think of something good.
Ok, I've decided:
* In-game name: Colm Dudeee or Wat Buddhawat (probably the one I'll be using at the time)
* Description of GIF requested: I was wanting me and my brother's character do a short action sequence and another with us transforming.
* Size: The sizes of the one's you've completed so far seem fine, whatever would fit, I'll leave that to you.
* Special Requests (Optional): Not sure of any special requests, but I imagine it may include some clipping of video
* Timezone and Availability: I'm on Mountain time and I'm usually on from 3-5 pm and sometimes 7-11pm (5-7 EST or 9pm - 1am EST). Wednesday and sometimes Sunday.
Thanks for waiting

Martyn, if you notice, Krazy's are videos. Also, the website's "videos to gif" cannot exceed 4 seconds. Icy's first two commissions are over 4 seconds long. Thus, not a waste of money. If you want a picture gif, or a short video gif, then yes, it would probably be a waste of money, but not if you want longer than 4 seconds of video.

lol, it's not that easy. plus unless you have the reflexes of a machine, the frames per second you could get with print screen would be terrible. (and very inefficient)

Actually, spamming print screen isn't that hard (at least for me) and setting the speed at the right rate would make it not skip. The issue is that it would be a hell of a long list of pictures even for just a couple seconds.

I must have the worst spamming skills then I don't know how I survive the killroy brawl on my survivor!
I think Kat uses virtualdub actually, which is taking a recorded video and splitting it into a crap load of separate images. It's more manageable than doing it manually though @@;
In any case i'd rather pay for a commission than have to go through that pain myself. And ImageReady (the only animating program I have) apparently really hates preserving image quality when converting to gifs.

As someone who has used print screen to create the frames to make an animated GIF...
Yeah. You end up with a ton of images just for one short animation, and I won't even go into the pain that is cropping and resizing them all right so that nothing is thrown off.
Better to take a video and put it into a video program that automatically takes caps/forms it into a GIF.
Though I've never had any problem with saving GIFs in ImageReady, Araiia. It's really a matter of experimenting with the number of colors, frames, image size, etc. But I've been making animations in it for years with no problems
Anyway, very cute, Kat

WTB TUTORIAL ;-;
I can't figure it out still ~ ~ like Kat's gifs, they look like they have more than 256 colours. I don't know how to uncap the max colour limit o.o
I did it once by accident, a long long time ago, but I forgot how xP

Well, with GIFs it is impossible to 'uncap' the max color limit - the file size itself is what limits it to 256.
There are different dithering techniques that can effect how nice it looks. I'd go through and post up some of the settings I used, but I have Photoshop CS4 now which does animations built in, so I don't have ImageReady anymore, and I've yet to make any animations using just PS ^^;

I got basic idea of two gif's I'd like. But due to my very obscure sleeping habits caused by my family reunion (only had 1 hour of sleep that day! x_x) I dunno if I can get on at a "reasonable time" for us Americans.
