I have to ask Kiya, what did your neighbors think when they drove by your house and saw that sitting in front of your garage?
The weathering looks great, the entire thing looks great actually. I'm really looking forward to seeing puppet Zin standing next to that behemoth.

@Koreena: that golem looks awesome. Only thing I have to say is maybe add a bit more gloss to the golden parts of it - the current finish looks a little flat. Other than that, it's solid.
You said you were going to put it out on your lawn for Halloween? I'd be way too paranoid of kids putting their grubby little mittens on it.

Finally I have some time to actually do something, better late than never I suppose.

She's a wee bit taller than that I think.
Just pretend you are, unless you know some exceptionally short people who would be willing to dress as warriors.
On the other hand, it does seem you will have to post the heels regardless now.

Okay, here is a pose study for my Rit. It's not textured or anything, just the bare model.
EDIT: Excuse the shading, I forgot I had my distant light on.

Put some more pics at http://hw2009.kirins.net
I don't think anyone noticed, I only had it out for 20 minutes and our house is about 60-70 feet back from the street. Hehe...maybe later I should set it up at the corner of the yard where my daughter's school bus lets her off. I think for Halloween we will keep it by the garage or in the little courtyard area by our door where we can watch it. We only had a handful of trick or treaters last year.
@ Minami Looks good!

@ minami: looking great, it's also a very nice pose. I think she could do with some more chains/dangly bits on her feet/shoes, but I suppose they're a bitch to model? xD anyway, looking good!
@ kiya: love it, that's just soo sweet to have them both together, they turned out really amazing!
I'm totally stuck in terms of making something myself, I'll hopefully get something done next week. Been making a logo for someone at uni to earn some moneyz (proof) on top of being crazily busy anyway however, I'm intrigued by vectors now... *wanders off to start sketching*

Thanks guys
I can try and put some more accessories on her, tho it'd be a PITA.
I need to come up with a good background now, and then on to the textures!

kiya: haha, you should. Youll become famous amongst the other kids riding the bus XD
moraq: thats one cool-looking logo. I sure hope you get time to make an entry though. the tex-mod idea is epic :3
Minami: that looks great!! cant wait to see more!
I had to take a break off working with Jora, I managed to burn my palm pretty badly -_- I'm actually holding an "ice stick" as we speak. Water sealed within a tube which you put in the freezer and use to chill whatever requires such a shape. pretty cool actually. X3
very useful for burns. :P
I've managed to solve the most difficult part of the costume; the bra-looking thing. So things are looking good, should be able to post some progress in 4-5 hours time.

Ouch Tzu, I hope it heals quickly. I was always told not to put ice (might cause more damage, like from frostbite) on burns but cold water/compress to soothe it was ok.
*counting down hours for progress pics*

oh, well it's not unprotected ice, it's sealed within a thick plastic sylinder, so it works like an ice-bag, you know the blue chemical stuff? Anyways, the burns are coming along alright, thanks to quick response. I once left a burn I didn't think was "all that bad", then it blemished, broke, got infected multiple times (I did stage tech at the time, it's pretty dirty on and underneath a vigorously used stage) and it eventually left an ugly scar. I learned to take care of burns the hard way :/
So all you people playing with hot glue for a halloween project, be careful! >.<'
That said, painting is taking a century or two, so I might not post progress tonight, depending on whether I want to stay up until 3 am or not with this.
Anyone else got anything to show though? ^.^

Good lord, Tzu, how did you manage to burn yourself that badly?
(also, my genius of a sister managed to burn the hell out of herself by touching the tip of the glue gun to see if it was hot -_-; she's 17 years old)

hot glue for stage-repairs, not a lot of light, 2 am in the morning...
It was a pretty busy night too, "couldnt afford" to run off to see to a "measly little burn".
Yes, it was stupid.
