Zamochits Artists Challenge... FULL TRADE WINDOW OF ECTO to the winner.
Okay this was a very difficult choice for me, as so many of the entrys were of such a high standard. My choices may cause some controversy but the following pieces really stood out for me
1st Prize of 1750 ectos - Charlie dayman - Paid in full - Congratulations
2nd Prize of 500 ectos - Ravensong - Paid in full - Congratulations
JOINT 3rd Prize of 250 ectos EACH - Minami Kaori - Paid in full - Congratulations
JOINT 3rd Prize of 250 ectos EACH - Zidane888 - Paid in full - Congratulations
However there were other peoples work which came so close to being in the top three that I felt that their efforts should not go without reward.
Terrak - Paid in full - Congratulations
Averden - Paid in full - Congratulations
Perynne - Paid in full - Congratulations
Each of these artists will recieve 100 ectos for their contributions. I wish I could give out more ecto to more of the entrants but unfortunately this pretty much cleans me out. I would ask that the winners PM me asap to arrange a suitable time for us to *Trade*
Congratulations to all who placed, and all whose contributions were recognised. To the rest of you, keep up the good work some of the art I have seen here has been truly breathtaking

Well I have no talent for fine art, but I think it's great you're giving back to the community like this! Best luck to all you budding artists. Maybe it will be possible to kill two birds with one stone and use this for your Halloween Art Contest submission as well

But which doppelganger? The model Guild Wars uses, or what we would envision as a true doppelganger of the character?

Also since its an art contest, I think it'd be better if they posted the entries here.

I can paint well, but i should not waste any time with this, since i am pretty sure about someone else will create something better. (Somebody always does )
But i think you should post the pictures here, lots of people want to see them.

It's that you're giving back to the community, but if you're doin this on an unselfish basis, purely to get people working and to have them receive a healthy prize for it too, I think you'd be better off with splitting that huge first prize into a few smaller ones. You could go 1-5th place and still break all records of value for a 1rst prize in an art contest.

UPDATE : : I have decided to give 500e to second place and 250e to third place in addition to the main prize. I WILL be keeping the 1st prize at 1750e however, I am hoping to see some good work though
If anyone has serious doubts that I have these quantitys of ectos feel free to search my recent threads started on high end using the search function. I have recently sold off all of my weapons collections and made a tidy little bundle, which to be honest I have had much more fun giving away than I ever did looking at pixels in a pixelated box.

^lol, raven XDD
the doppleganger mission is a nice one indeed, brings back so many memories... 83
(back in the days when I didnt know about GWW and had no way of knowing what lies ahead, etc...)
It must be fun to give away such fortunes ^.^
So much drive to win, so many happy faces.
anyways, it's even more generous of you to suddenly add places without taking from the 1rst place prize XD ... and a little insane, if you don't mind me saying so
you'll probably get a lot of entries for this one.

Geez
I've never seen that many ectos in my life - not even if I added up all my FoW armours and other high-end crap :O Theme is really interesting as well, perhaps I can come up with something... (not that I need the money but just seeing all those ectos... )
on an artist-to-client note, it might be a treat to many artists if the deadline was set back a bit, because many are already working hard on their Halloween contest entries and might be very busy until then... just a thought

HOLY MOLEY!
We'll see what I can do, what with all these other contests and college apps and all...
Problem is my Ele, who actually had an interesting fight with the Doppel, was wearing her "desert outfit" at the time... which is basically Istani armor.
So I guess if I do this I'll go with my Mez's EPIC FIFTEEN-SECOND DOPPELDUEL, and just fudge it on the weapon (never really liked how The Magekiller looked anyway). Plus she'd be fun to make an evil twin for.
But it's a big if. Darn you crowded October schedule!

Ok since i have no drawing skill whatsoever here is my entry for this fine price!!!
A POEM/Narrative.
Augury Rock - By Menlai Littiz
As I blow the primeval dust off my dry, seared lips a glint of the ether shone forth,
My eyes darted towards it like the denizens of Kaineng, to a purse.
The holy fire streamed through my veins with echoes of those gone before,
weapons meeting flesh, screams of men as they met their end.
I scrambled off the sand that had held the memories of failures past,
I thought, I would be the one to ascend atlast!
When I marched forth, with courage and might, my soul ripped forth tearing down the mighty rock, as the dust settled piling over the remains of thousands before, I felt the hand of the divine on my shoulder.
Each step, I took a breath, as the light was stolen away, until all was pitch black.
As if the breath of a dragon whirred past, braziers shone in the room to reveal the image of oneself but twisted and tormented.
The imposter looked up, his eyes met mine, his grin turned to a scream and he lunged forth axe in hand.
His axe bounced off as i shouted "dwayna shield me!", yet the creature kept forth and forth, no hex, no affliction kept him at bay... until at last one mighty firestorm broke from the sky, wreaking havoc on all who lay underneath it. As Balthazar's fury let up all that was left was a charred wreck that i knew.... was once me.
